There is way more stick work in the NCAA than there is in the NHL. Many make the case it is the full face shield and the lack of fighting. In fact some make the case that the NCAA game is more violent and cheap because of this.

Phil gave up quite a few soft goals during the series at Maine. Briggs has had a whole career of giving up soft goals. Goalies from time to time give soft goals.

I wonder if Ziggy regrets leaving? Sounds as if he is the third goalie again. Are people going to say he didn't get a fair shake in Duluth too? I wonder if Ziggy is even dressing or sitting in the stands, I suppose he and the other back up get to help open doors on the bench. It think its funny that people talk as if Grecio is a hack and a crappy goalie and Walski is getting an unfair shake. Walski is a practice goalie. Just because Grecio let in 9 goals this weekend many are ready to say he isn't good and we should give Walski a chance. I would be willing to bet Phil would have let that many in himself this past weekend like others have stated. It wouldn't surprise me if Grecio is one of the top goal tenders in the league either next season or the year after.

I didn't see the games but listened on the radio and I got the same message, it was one of those types of series. It appears that our goaltending was better than the opposition and in a shoot out which both games were that is all you need and I am happy with the two wins. I think maybe we are looking to far into the numbers, I can remember TH say quite a few times that Grecio was making the saves he had to to put the Sioux in position to win. The one shot on goal TH had it all but in the net. I am sure that the youngster was nervous too. I would be willing to bet in the future this discussion will be mute. Seriously, Brian Elliot got lit up on Saturday letting in 4 goals a high total by his standards, I don't think he had many games last season where he gave up 4 goals. Teams are going to score on the oppositions goaltenders, heck Manny Fernandez gave up four to the Av's last night also. It will all even out in the future. Giving teams multipule opportunties on the PP is not good and I am sure this week in practice the coaching staff willl be addressing that issue. If not maybe a few D-man need to watch the game or games from the stands. One thing no one has mentioned is that UND is leading the WCHA as of right now.

Even on video tape of the game Belmore looked pretty good. Wow, shredded the UMD defense.

I don't see these two coming to UND, unless Rivard is gone and the program is winning.

I was thinking the same thing and since the refs aren't calling the obstrution and hooking and holding I think the Sioux will and should check these guys relentless and hard. I would have Kaip or Fabian in Nodl's and gordon's kitchen all game long. It players like this that makes me miss Prpich.

Yep, because I am sure as he!! not going to watch basketbrawl. I am being funny. That being said, its not going to happen. Fighting in hockey is part of the game and the owners know that. Even Gretzky has softened his tone on that subject.

Depends what the score is and then the refs have to figure out if the opposing teams have had the same number of penalties called against them as the other team. Like TH once said notice how all the even ups happen at the end of the game for the most part you will see both teams with the same number of penatlies against.

She might actually be in Corrections, MSU-M has a corrections department though their sociology department. As far as being a lawyer, she might be out of work if she is going to be offended by fans of another team enjoying a victory in her barn. Can you imagine if she lost a case?

It seems a little over the top and petty. I like going to like the WCHA final five just to drink with the fans of other teams. Last year in Tom Reids we drank with some Badger fans, these guys were cool very civil. I don't think most of us get in peoples faces, one because it is rude and its sports. I would be willing to bet this person was drunk and had a bad experience. Its also funny how Ralph is dead and people are still bad mouthing him, you would have thought he was Atilla the Hun or Tojo or something. The man did lots for Charity and loved UND hockey. You can't get anymore kind hearted than that.

Sioux Illustrated Looks like a someone hack the Sioux Illustrated web page. It looks like it is in German.

We should just go ahead and whack him right away. I mean get to him early and get his feet moving. UND lit him up during the WCHA playoffs. Nodal is supposed to be the real deal.

Not trying to rip on you but your logic, this isn't meant to be a personal attack, I am just trying to show you how flawed this line of thinking is, I am going to illustrate what I am talking about. Should we tell that to guys like Henry Boucher that lost an eye due to dirty stick work? Just part of the game. I think the logic that your using is that stick work is just part of the game, and the fans in the WCHA should just accept it and expect it. So the message we are sending them is; if you are upset just go ahead and swing your stick or spear someone, much better than fighting, its part of the game. In my own opinion; stick work is much more egregious and gutless than two guys fighting. Ussually after a fight most of the time the issue is settled when the fight ends. Gutless whacks with the stick are very Jeff Paukovich like. Gutless pukes like Pauko go out and whack someone with a stick ussually a more skilled smaller player and then go turtle behind the ref, when someone calls him on it. But don

Walski will probably get to be here for another year, unless they steal a top goaltender recruit from Jr's. Lets not kid ourselves, Walksi is a practice goalie like Solei is for the Goofers. There is nothing wrong with that and he had a better seat for the game than the rest of us.
