PCM, the NHL banks on it as part of the draw of the game. Fans for the most part like it so, its not going anywhere. The guy that got his face knocked in has no one to blame but his self. The Boggeyman is paid (like it or not) to fight, if someone cheaps Gabby, the boggeyman come-it. Goons are there to right wrongs. I agree its part of the game and if college allowed it once in a while they wouldn't have some of the brutal stick work that mares college hockey.

PCM, Are you serious? I can't believe the WCHA League office thinks that it is the on ice Official's job to keep league parity. I don't ever remember a refs job being to keep league parity. How about have the coaches improve in their recruiting? I know they don't do that in the NHL.

Not trying to be critical: Reading your post one could get the impression that the Sioux didn't deserve to win the game or barely got by or they didn't play very well. Mankato like many of us said is a hard nose tough team and the MWC is a tough place to play. Mankato isn't a bad team either, Travis Morin is one of the leagues top players. I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth on this game. Missing one of their top forwards, starting a young green goalie, I'll take this and look this game as a positive. The Sioux do need to stop taking Knucklehead penatlies though. Too many again this game.

I don't know if I agree with that, any win in Mankato is a plus, top sioux teams have gone there and lost so I think this is a big win.

With out question. PCM since your the arena reporter do you know how long Lammy is out, I mean have you gotten wind of anything?

Miller has played 5/7 games this season. I think I think if I were the coach he might become a fixture in the line up. Oh course its easier to coach from the stand or in your livingroom.

If my math is right Miller is like the team leader in points. Before this game he had three points with 4 tonight that give him 7 and tops on the team. I would say I can't see any reason he can't keep him self in the line if he keeps playing like that.

I think this is going to be a very hard fought series, no one should be confused; MSU-Mankato is very tough especially in their barn. The Mavericks will give the Sioux nothing and they will be in the Sioux

I think it is kind of interesting watching NJ (Although not a fan, I haven't gotten to that stage yet as a Bruins fan) play with all of the ex-college hockey players. Its unbelievable. Lou really is one heck of a GM. Looks like Zajac might be staying the line, that doesn't make his defection as tough to take because at least he is playing in the big time.

I don't think the Sioux can afford to sacrifice points, just to give someone a start. I think Grecio gives UND the best chance to win. UND needs to play with the best line up possible to take points, minus Toews it could be tough sledding. Every point this season is going to be hard to come by.

I will make a prediction and say that its a pretty good bet that Stenehjem will be re-elected.
