So I can put you in the camp that you expect Phil to be in net the next two years? If that is true UND is going to have to score 4+ goals each game to have a decent chance to win and that is going to be tough, probably even with the poetential stars we have coming in next season.

Seriously, I hope the coaches are combing the BCHL and the other Junior leagues looking for a goalie that can actually play and make saves at 90%. Just think of the Goalies recruits we lost or passed up this past season, we were telling them we are set at goalie. While they are making saves at other programs we are losing games on ticky tacky bag goals that Jordy used to save. Like I said earlier we should have stud goaltenders lined up to play for UND. I heard a rumor a few years back that UND snubbed Nate Lawson., apparently he wanted to play for UND and we didn't want him. Hum, he wouldn't look too bad in a Sioux uniform right now. Lets use the comparison, UND hockey is kind of like FSU and Florida football, so when they need a new quarterback they fill the void with another star. It should be the same at UND for players including goaltenders. This season is more frustrating than the past two, because I see no hope for us turning it around. Goaltending and defense win championships.

I wonder if they would have to eat her contract wether she had a roll in the administration or not. I know there are discussions about this all the time in the sports world where the coach isn't cutting the mustard and they want to make a change but end up paying that person anyways. Kind of a lose, lose situation.

The problem is that It's more serious this year, goaltending is a back bone of any championship season and if this level of goal tending continues UND is going to be fighting to not be in 7th place, that is not being fair weather, that is the a brutal reality. Truth hurts, yep it does, sucks actually. If some of the knowledgeable fair weather fans say the goaltending sucks, there is probably a good possibility that the goaltending sucks. I have seen enough hockey over the years to know what good goaltending looks like. Anything under .900 is average or worse. Guess where we are right now? I would settle for a goalie that makes .900 percent of their saves. If it gets any worse I am going to be standing next to the Sioux bench with a Walski? (Sign). I am not so sure he could do any worse right now. Like someone brought up Grieco actually got points so maybe we shouldn't be as hard on him. 7 out a possible 12 points is better than 2 points out of 8 possible points. Heck I was hoping for 4 out of eight, losing 5/6 games is unacceptable unless you play for a traditional bottom feeder, the Sioux are not a traditional bottom feeder. That is why some Sioux fans that follow each and every game like it was a religion are concerned, because most of us haven't seen goaltending like this since 2001. Its not about oh I like player X. Possible both kids were around 18 all I rember was the shorter kid looked young and was wearing a stocking cap, if was obvious that they were checking out the place. In looking at their numbers we could use some of their offensive help.

Not exactly true. Blakes numbers pre-new rules. 2003-2004 Islanders 75 22 25 47 pts 2002-2003 Islanders 81 25 30 55 pts Not so sure I would call scoring 22 and 25 goals in a season uneffetive. Some things are going to drastically change for either of our young sophs to be playing in the NHL next season. Remember Toews said last summer he doesn't want to play in AHL.

I don't understand how it happened. We didn't get any STARS per see. We got some decent role models but nothing that is Sioux type recruits. I think the coaching staff did not prepare for all of the defections until it was too late.

Just a question; have you seen the play yet this year? They are more fun to watch than the Vikes but look at the Rafters. Losing is not acceptable here. Most of us won't accept losing sitting down, that doesn't make anyone fair weather. I will be sitting in the stands with empty seats around me when the fair weather fans are in the bar or at home doing what ever fair weather fans do.

Those are nice points, again, after watching Toews and Oshie play this year how is it possible either is on the ice with an NHL franchise next season? Not saying their bad players, but given the play of them this year I don't see either cracking the line up in either city. If Bochenski takes scoring 11+ goals and getting name AHL player of the week in Norfolk to get called up how is Toews going to be anywhere but Norfolk? And as bad as St. Louis is, I don't TJ Oshie replacing anyone in the St. Louis Line up.
