Thats the funny part, Briggs with his 73 wins is now like one of UoMN best goalies with wins. That is way wicked scarey. They won with Shoddy goaltending. Webber and Hauser weren't world beater by any stretch of the imagination. That being said I don't see UND scoring 5-6 goals every night to win. Yes they were unless PCM can shed a different light that we are not aware of?

Don't they give out three scholarships for goaltending, wasn't phil, brandt and Parise on the same team his senior year? If I am not mistaken all three were scholarship goalies.

I am not suggesting we cut Tony or Phil but I think bringing in another high end goalie and getting him into the system wouldn't be a bad thing. That way we aren't playing to green goalies in 2009. No offense to the phil lovers but in three season at UND he has not proved to be a shut down goalie like Parise, heck he hasn't even been as good as Brandt. I am sure I am not the only one that thinks this way. If we continue to get the current goaltending he have experience this season to date its going to be a long two years. I think it is funny that people get touchie when someone suggest St. Phil isn't playing all that good. This is a discussion board and letting in 4-5 goals every night in not on par with division one goaltending we have given up at least 4 goals in 7 of 15 games the Sioux have played this season. One of them teams was a team comprise of 17 year olds... Our Penalty killing is like 54th in the nation that is not good. The goalies have to start making saves.

It would be nice to hear local Buffalo television play-by-play guy Rick Generet announce his goal, if you have never heard this guy he is a classic gem. I think your right because in Fargo from to Hankinson its about 140 miles, from Bismarch its somewhere in the to the other end of the state its about what 340 - 350 miles so maybe it just made up.

I would assume that you can get the games on Rocky Moutain FSN (for the DU series) and Fox Sports North Wisconsin (for the Badgers) if you have the expanded sports package on direct TV.

There is no way that Wheeler did that on purpose since he was checked into the mankato goalie. I do think the refs were wroing in not giving Peltier and the mankato players third man in penalties. I also believe that the refs did lose control of this game. Also, Wooger said that coaches were not happy with the quality of officiating on Friday night.

I actually think that the Badgers are a little down this Season after winning the NCAA championship. Losing Earl and Paveliski hurts them and makes them less dangerous that last year. I also believed that Brian Elliot has saved them from having a worse record.

Your probably right. I wonder with UND's lawsuit other are waiting to see how it shakes out before they put their hat in the ring. I am wondering if and when UND wins in the courts, other colleges/universities will start a onslaught of lawsuits against the NCAA if UND's results comes out favorable for them? I presonally hope it does so the NCAA gets slapped down, then the NCAA can go back to running championships and keeping their noses out of things that don't concern them. The flag thing in SC is a travesty because they stepped in and took a states rights away from them.

By looking what has happened at Dartmouth it appears that changing the name didn't eliminate racist acts in Hanover, NH. It looks if anything that they have more resentment and problems as a result of changing the name. I would say that Dartmouth has way more issues than UND even with our Fighitng Sioux Nick Name.

I think we went 19-1 or something like that didn't we? If I am not mistaken we also lost to Ferris State down in MPLS in the Marriucci regional. I don't see Minnesota running the table. They will lose a few before it over. On a side note I remember people being up in arms about giving up 5 goals to Mankato a few weeks back and Minnesota did the same thing last night. Woog even said he can't believe that Manakato has only won 4 games.
