I think UND has a good chance to win a lot of games if we only give up two goals. I was hoing Hak would give them one of those no pucks practice after Saturday's effort. That is what you call a stinker in my opinion.

I don't mean to be silly but the Goalie is like the third defenseman. I thought I saw UND playing a trap in Saturday's game in the third period.

Don't forget that 5 of the last 6 games UND has only given up 6 goals. 12 of 25 games UND has given up a goal or less in their games. That is pretty good defense.

I remember that on the PK he went up ice shot the puck, shot was blocked and he bet everyone back up the ice. Everyone needs to play like that. If the Sioux play like that UMN won't be in either game. If the Sioux loaf up and the ice it will be an fugly weekend.

I am pretty close to writing another letter to the league office. I am going to wait and see how this weekend goes. I had the misfortune to talk to both Sheppards both are very arogant (like father and son) and McCloud is an empty suit. I remember after MSU-M and UND played in the WCHA home series and Sheppard was going through the checkpoint of the GFK airport complaining about how he had to stay in this town one extra night in this crappy town (Grand Forks, ND) because the Sioux couldn't beat MSU-M in two games and I made the comment maybe the refs should have done a better job officiating.

Deal! Your also right, this happened in the professional ranks after the crack down as well, however, the players, coaches and teams eventually got the hint and learned to play the game without all the obstruction, hooking, holding and slashings.

Jim I actually think we are almost to the point of a fan revolt. I am seeing the fans upset with the way the league is officated. This is going to come to a head. The league has no credibility after all of the failures that have happened this season. I think it will change soon. I may also be a wide eyed optimist but I think it will change. The league has to or risk losing a lot of fed up players to the pros.

I did I saw the UAA boys snow out goalie about 6 times this weekend. I thought that was a penalty.

I will be happy with 2-3 points this weekend. I also want to see Bickel and Finley go toe to toe.

I am not seeing it either I am seeing a team that scored 3 goals two weekends in a row.

Think how many times we have seen Oshie, Duncan, Trupp hooked, slashed and held. I don't think that is accpetable. In the Denver Series Oshie was slashed right in front of the ref and he did nothing.

If they called all of the hookings and holding and you give UND 10-12 PP's we bury that team.

Under Blais if you play bad you sit next to the coaches on the bench or in the stands. I dunno, I feel like UND stole one. Lowest shot total in a game for 5 seasons.

Nice post and there wouldn't be as much parity in the league if they called the games like the CCHA does.

I find it interesting that an article comes out this weekend about the officating in this league right after we play the UAA seawolves. I know I am not the only one that thinks that something needing to be done with the current crop of morons officiating the games. This series was horrible to watch, one word boring, yawn... It almost looked as bad as watching some of the other trap feast teams. For the UAA coach to say that is a complete joke, especially when his players got away with just as many slashes as our team. I admit our team was doing the same crap. College hockey in the WCHA is becoming a joke and I blame it on the officating. I can't believe that have to watch a player try to skate up the ice with an opposing player hanging all over him, that is not hockey. Sticking the goalie with your stick is a penalty. The reason this stuff is happening is because the refs are not calling it, Anderson needs to be fired along with Schmidt. McCloud thinks if there is parity in the league it will help everyone. How, we will just lose more top players because they are tired of getting hack, slashed, tackled and obstructed. The staus quo is this league is no longer working and to think it is utter bs. Call the __________ing penalties. I know our team will get called as well but after having 30+ penalties a few nights in a row the players will adjust. Wait till next weekend when the Sioux plays the goofs. You can bank on this, there is going to be 4 on the ice officials, mark it down you heard it here first. I would be willing to wager one of the on ice officials will be Campion the other will be Sheppard. Also Bruce McCloud and Gregg Sheppard will be in the stands. Expect every thing the Sioux do on the ice to get called.

It appears from looking at their numbers if the Sioux can score 3 goals they might be golden.

It looked as if the Sioux were already thinking about the Gophers and next weekend. No one was moving their feet, the goal that counted was a blunder by Chorney. Oshie was one of the few that actually worked hard every shift. Everyone else looked like they were more interested in cross checking the opposition. Chay needs to have an extraction, his penalties were of the knuckle head kind. I think UND played down to their competition. I actually hope that UND can please play with effort this weekend against the Goofs.

One could make the argument that good teams find ways to win. I think if you looked at the standing comparing this season to last we are sitting a lot better than we were last year at this time. I remember UND being on the bubble of not making the playoffs at this time.

I think it would be fun actually too...

I thought Phil played well last night. I don't know why some think he played bad. opinions vary and we are all entitled to them. This is no lie last night everytime I went to the men room I missed the goal, I missed the UAA goal, say it on the TV in the mens room, first two Sioux goals same thing. Someone asked me if I would head the washroom again.

I met Jeff at one of those Remotes at I-29 cafe and he was pretty cool, I also had a few beers at the Gate and was able to chat with him. Sure he is a gophers fan and he supports his team, to call him a clueless rube or hack wouldn't apply, that I think he knows football and basebally pretty good as well... I am not sure what he see or not sees with this Sioux team.
