I have found that you schedule your leave/pto at the end of the summer during duck season. Meaning Duck hunting during the work week, and hockey and football on the weekend.

True, but their season doesn't interfere with duck season.

I am mostly a dirt track racing fan, and like MAVTV. The INDY Cars are interesting. Just don't watch it very much.

Correct, but there was 12 games on the national stage. UND actually benefited from that TV deal for one game. There was also at least 18 NCHC games plus three Frozen Faceoff on National TV. It's not just the B1G Ten that's benefitting from the Conference Shakeups. Also, if you have DirecTV, you're able to get a lot of College Hockey if you have the sports pack.

That had to cost the Xcel Energy Center a lot of money to open the building for hockey game that no one saw.

Yeah ... Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. The B1G was only one part of that. You also had the Hockey East deal with NBCSN and CBSSN with the NCHC.

There's no evidence at all to back that claim up. If anything it was a power grab by the B1G fans to capitalize on their television money from the BTN. The NCHC was a reaction to this move.

Have you ever listened to John Buccigross, count how many times he says wrist shot, I actually invented a new drinking game. Drink every time he says wrist shot. You would be bombed after one period of play.

By going back to the CCHA, I think that WMU and MU would actually be taking a step back. BGSU in it's current state isn't a powerhouse in hockey and almost killed their program. I think the NCHC should tell them, improve your program and we'll consider you.

Well if you believe all of the chatter, I have heard quite a bit, BGSU is butt hurt about not getting in the NCHC and wants to start picking off teams like FSU, Miami, WMU and a few others and reforming the old CCHA. This could happen, in 3-5 years. The eastern members of the NCHC and the Eastern members of the WCHA are grumbling about travel. It's not much of a concern for the western teams. As far as flexibility goes, teams could sign regional deals with regional TV networks, but CBSSN won't budge on the exclusivity deal. As far as UND hockey getting back on FCS won't happen until after the original deal with CBSSN is done. I confirmed this with the league. Personally, this is the one downfall of having DirecTV, you can't get Midco Sports on it.

if the weather and the wife co-operates this weekend, I should be over 700 miles. Three summers ago, I biked 1900 miles. One of my highschool buddies does the Iron Man type events goes about 3000 miles a summer.
