Add Happy to the list, he is over on USCHO choking on Cup Cakes. You could beat Happy with facts over the head all day and still not get him to see the light...

Even more clueless. His team must have been bounced from NCAA tourney competition consideration. Posted by buvid Re: Re: Re: Re: hehe... here we go BC- Jerry Yorke is a horse's ass UML-That mascot is awful, if i went to Lowell i would avoid the rink so i wouldnt have to look at that creation. UMASS- Actually i love Toot and his team. UNH-The Ex-lax chant has to go, and there are a few too many mullets for my taste in Durham. ME- Niko, even after he is gone i curse that name. PC- The worst fans in HE, spending 2 weekends there in the last month was too much. NU- I love Matthews arena. The fans are awesome anyone who shows up to watch that squad has my respect. UND- Englested arena and all the corruption that building stands for. Growing up i loved the fighting Sioux. However, when a University lowers itself to accepting a 250 million dollar donation from a man who made his money off of casions and is a blantent racist I lose all respect for that program. Part of NCAA hockey is a purity in sports and Engelsted represents everything that is not right in amatuer atheletics

This is a post from Yellowdog. Yesh... It probably is as far from the truth as possible. Or is it... I don't remember many 25 year old Candians on UND's 1997 and 2000 NCAA championship teams. The truth about North Dakota's Championships I know since I just signed up for this board some of you will take that as a lack of knowledge about college hockey. It actually is that I have real human friends to talk to about hockey. Just because i have not posted here before means nothing so those of you who equate the two need to get a life. Now for the real issue. Why the sioux have won more championships than the gophers and why that is about to change. The number #1 reason is the fact that minnesota teams have been all minnesota kids for the past 20 years. The sioux fans I talk to seem to think minnesota has some built in advantage and should always be winning championships, but the sioux have been the one with the advantage until now. The gophers would have won twice as many titles during the past 20 years as the sioux if we would have mixed in 25 year old canadians along side of our native minnesotans. Lucia changed this policy just two years ago and we already have a championship. We will now begin to dominate the wcha and the nation like we would have the last 20 years with this same type of recruiting policy. I would love to see what a team of all north dakotans would do at this level. If they could get within 10 goals of any other team that would be a victory. I heard alot of whining about the fact that the sioux were without Parise for a couple of games this year. Join the club. the gophers have been losing players to the juniors forever and it has cost them games. Since nodak finally recruited someone who has not started a family yet they see how the rest of the world has lived. We also lost players in every olympic year except the last couple which has cost minnesota some potentially very good seasons. The point is this, if minnesota would not have handcuffed itself with their recruiting policy they would have more than doubled the sioux's champioship output of the last 20 years, and we will start our run to 10 championships now and we will get there before the sioux will. Mostly it is just fun to poke fun at you sioux fans because you take this so seriously because it is all you have up there. By the way nice schedule this year you can look at that when you exit in the first round. Jump on our bandwagon now, back to back championships with only 2 seniors graduating this year.

Just to take Schmit-doggydog's post a little further. Noterman is already at the 100+ mark. Lunbohm, Bocheski and should all break the 100 point mark by next year if all remain and stay healthy. They could do it this year but they would have to rack up some serious points in the next week or two. I believe Zach can do it by next season also, it might be a tall order but very possible. Not to put any pressure on the lad. I know UND has had a bunch of 100+ plus players but there seems to be a quite few possible 100+ points for their career players on this current roster. Massen could possibly do that next year but probably during his Senior year I think James is sitting some where in the 47-50 points for his career. James has fallen off as of late.

Farce can you post directions to that. I am not too familiar with St Paul...
-
Anyone meeting at Tom Ried's before the game on Thursday?
-
I think for the most part short hair is like in right now... I just think the Denver team looked kind of scrubby with their hair hanging all over the place... I like the fact that UND looks like professionals on and off the ice...
-
If you notice all of UND hockey players have hair that is short. I am sure coach must have a policy that stats that. I think Denver was a shaggy looking bunch...
-
I have a hard time believing that Wooger was cheering for the Sioux, but if he was welcome a board Wooger.
-
The Sioux are now sitting at 9th in the PWR ranking I think that is huge, they should be in the NCAA tourney. I just want to be able to see UND make a good showing in the final five. If we can beat UMD we get C.C. again.
-
UND has now won 4/5 games and is ready for the playoffs... Thank God we won against DU. DU plays a gross style of hockey... I believe that Brandt won the game for UND.
-
UND is in, what a win... I cant wait for Thursday. It should be a hell of a dog fight... No pun intended.
-
I think UND now makes the NCAA tourney, I actually want UND to play Cornell. Out east we go I believe. What a win. Brandt was amazing. Thank you Jake... Now were are sitting in 9th in the PWR rankings...
-
Handy, I have to have a beer with you dude. Off to the final five. Man I am psyched up. What a game. Man I was nervous but we pulled it off. Lucky I was drinking I couldn't have handled this sober. See yall on thursday. Time for UND to extract a pound of flesh from UMD. Bring on the dirty Bull dogs...
-
Burn it, Burn it. Fire, Fire, Fire... Make sure to burn it in the back yard. Great win tonight. Show a lot of character and heart. This win should give the lads some confidence for tomorrow. With the win in O.T. UND now is tied with MSU-M for 10th in the PWR rankings. Way to go boys...
-
I will have to agree with that statement. Hey just another possitive. UND is still 11th in the PWR ranking but dont' anyone tell so UND will come out firing on all cylinders.
-
I dont want it to end like this either... Very depressing and the off season is way too long. Lets Go Sioux, Lets Go Sioux...
-
What was interesting is there is a break away and the Denver player just jumps off the bench and breaks up the call in front of the refs and 10,000 people. I have never seen that play before. Should have been a penalty.
-
I went to the game with my wife last night and Frankly it was depressing, there were some good things to come out of the game. Fylling got his 6 point in 3 games, any points anyone gets right now is a bonus. So that is a plus. Matt Greene went another game without taking a bunch of penalities... Good for him. Matt played a pretty good game and will only get better as he gets more ice time. I still want him to pop someone. Maybe tonight. I think I am about ready to give up on UND much like I think the players have themselves, it is apparent by the way they are playing on the ice, they went through the motions. If they don't win this weekend they might not get into the NCAA tourney. Some will say that the players were being held, all night long from the drop of the first puck it was ugly. The other team did a lot of holding and it worked, I wish the refs would call that stuff. They are going to have to fight through it. Or the season is done. Denver University makes hockey an awesome sport look ugly. That aint hockey. The minute Bochenski realized that he was going to have a tough night his feet stop moving. Granted its hard to skate when you are being tackled...
-
Actually just to add to that point, the announcer (my wife and I could tell if they were slambing him or giving him a compliment) that he was leading the team in scoring making 600,000.00 a year and Alexi Yashin was behind him in the points and making millions of dollars. Actually Blake got 3 points last night (thursday night). I cant remember who they were playing, I want to say Edmonton.
-
But really I think it has been loud in the ralph this season. Two Sundays ago the fans were up after UND score the goal to get even with UMD...
-
FYI Bayda got an assit tonight on Carolina's only goal of the evening. That makes 8 assists for the the Young forward and ll points. This NHL center ice is awesome, I recommend to anyone buy it if you like NHL hockey. The last few nights I got to watch Blake play against Vancover, Murray Barron was on the Vancover team. Eddie Belfour with the Leafs and Greg Johnson with Nashville. Add to the mix that the WCHA and the NCAA is becoming more and more represented in the NHL Anson Carter from MSU, Leo, Jeff "After the Wistle" Taffe (just called back up with PHX) and Rassumsen from Minnesota, Mike Grier and Chris Drury (sp) from BU, Brendan Morrison from Michigan just to name a few.

Here is the latest. Althought this web page has little or no credibility, I think it would be fun to watch UND beat UofM in the Region final. It would be a hoot. I don't think North Dakota would have much trouble with Ferris State setting up the game... PROVIDENCE East Regional 1. New Hampshire 2. Boston College 3. MSU, Mankato 4.
