I am going to go on record and say that our team minus Murray, Parise and possibly Stafford is still more talented than SCCC and should be able to take some points that weekend. Think about it. Massen (hurt most of the year and 35 point getter last season), Genoway, Bochenski, McMahan are better if not more than most of the players on SCCC. Our team will be fine and will be a great opportunity to grow as a team and face some adversity.

Actually I can probably tell you my theory on why racing is so popular. Its appeal to fans is second to none. The drivers for the most part are down to earth guys, with an exception a few that fill in nicely as the villians. Kurt Busch comes to mind this season, with some of his antics. Auto racing is an awesome sport, because its wide open, they are driving an automobile 190-200 miles an hour, its an endurance and a grueling sport. Before someone says that its not a sport they don't know what they are talkin about, trust me the drivers are athletes. NASCAR is often unfairly maligned for being a sport for uninformed rednecks or that its for unsophisticated toothless inbread people, blah, blah, blah, the same old stuff. However, it is far from it. Auto racing is a very technical sport, Winston Cup teams spend thousands if not millions of dollars on figuring out the winning combination, in the wind tunnell and also on the race track. Its a billion dollar busniess. Also if your ever board and its snowing outside check out a race, its fun to watch. Up here in Grand Forks there are no NASCAR tracks but I do manage to watch quite a bit of it on Television... I do some day plan to go to a NASCAR race some where. Also, the past two season I was in a NASCAR fantasy league. Yikes...

I love NASCAR and World of Outlaws racing circuts, I hunt Deer, Ducks Pheasants, Grouse and there is probably a box of lose shot gun shells in my blazer. And today I found a streak of deer blood on my blazer that Valley Dairy Car Wash forgot to clean off.

Thats why I hope UND can keep him, I hear that this the last season on Lenon's contract. Anyone heard what Dale is going to do. It would be a shame to lose him as coach.

In football UND has won 10/13 in games against the Bison, hum now they have to move up to Divison one AA so they don't get beat by UND in football anymore but want they want to to keep playing us on uneven terms, if you can't win on even terms lets have more scholarships. Oh by the way while we are on the subject of Divison one hockey are rivals Minnesota (UND has won 3 of the last 4 against them) and Wisconsin (UND has beaten them 4 straight) they are behind UND in the title chase. 7>5...

I agree Michigan is not that good of a team this season, I am sure they will find a way to get it going at the end of the season. Michigan had trouble cycling the puck out of their own end, however they are a better team than their cross state rival MSU. I am going to get flamed but, who cares, I was not that impressed with the Gophers this past weekend either, at the blue line I wouldn't trade any our new players for any of the Gopher players. Vanek a good player does nothing to get the puck out his own end, he just floats around waiting for someone to pass him the puck. I have to say that he is one of the most one dimensional superstars I have ever seen. ON the rookies I'd take Smaby over Taylor anyday. Taylor at crucial moments has the common sense of a hand ball. Although Minnesota is loaded and has a lot of offensive guns, the top guns for UofM have not used all of their bullets as of yet. Frankly Wisconsin scares me more than Minnesota. Finally at goalie how in the heck does Woog think UND is weak at goaltending? Of all the goalies this past weekend in the hockey show case I believe not one of the teams had a a better GAA than Minnesota...
