The news reported that, if I remember correctly, when they interviewed him he used a difference alias (or something like that) that tipped them off.

Anyone else see way to many similarities between this season and 2001. Beat Winona and Pitt St. at home and then face another Harlon Hill finalist who likes to run out of the shotgun again at the Alerus Center. GVSU is again playing in the other semi-final game. Let's hope the outcome is the same.

from the winona daily news "CROWD NOISE: Most of the 7,944 people in attendance Saturday at the Alerus Center were cheering for the Sioux. The noise grew to a deafening level early and on every WSU third down or big UND play. The crowd was by far the largest WSU has played in front of this season home or away." To bad that won't impress UNA.

Only 7,000 at the Al for a home playoff game?
TheSiouxFan replied to fightingsioux4life's topic in Football
It seems not having the game on TV didn't help the attendance. 7944 -
Oh no somebody should inform the NDSU fans that the WSU vs UND game was scrolled at the bottom of ESPN.

Jeff Harlin are you the laziest of the d2football.com columnists? Right now it is Saturday Nov 29th and you still have the article "previewing" the UND vs Pitt St. game. I just wanted to say thanks for the great football coverage and great subscription (pay) message board.

It's over the Bison are Division 1-AA and the Sioux are D2. There is no reason to continue to play this game, it is history. The Sioux have proven that they want to make the playoffs and continue to be successful instead of simply "looking good" and playing 1-AA opponents. Maybe if the Bison scheduled Moorehead this year instead of UC Davis they'd be in the playoffs. The Sioux haven't scheduled a 1-AA opponent for how many years now? And the Bison think since they are going to move to 1-AA that will all change, I think not. The Bison need this game BAD, they need a guarantee sell out because they are DESPERATE to fill the football schedule, especially with some home games. The Sioux on the other hand see no real reason to do so and I am glad, all we would get is an extra 3,000 fans a game every other year with the other team having double the advantage (scholarships). I believe the Sioux will eventually make the leap and then everyone will be happy when the rivalry continues, but personally I won't mind if the Sioux and Bison never played each other again, it's just not a big deal. Now hockey on the other hand.

Pat Sweeney just reported the game will not be televised, but you can buy it via dataflix.

Wonder why Duncan didn't sign?

The other midwest playoff game had 3,000. -
All you can do is laugh.

PCM is right. It's an email from theralph.com if you signed up stating... "You won

You can click on the players name and it goes into a little more depth. It says Parise "is expected to play at least one more year at UND."

Excellent point, mate.

Is it just me or is anyone else tired of losing to teams we should obviously and easily beat year after year. Tonight we lost to Bemidji State and last year we lost to the University of Minnesota-Crookston. Would we ever see a Gene Roebuck (sp?) team lose to either of these team, I think not. Why does Rich Glas continue to lose these games. Make no doubts about it UND is a premiere Division II school who should easily make the playoffs year after year, but has yet to even win an mens basketball championship. I personally think it is time to fire Rich Glas, he has proven nothing. For an example, take a look at the football team, get new coach and we win a championship. Enough of my rant, get rid of Glas.

My guess is if Pitt St. loses next wk they will still be ahead of the Bison.

How about Sioux Rejects.

Did you just learn that? I don't think the fighting part was ever apart of it. I believe our school colors are/were pink also.

I don't really mind indoors, because it seems to help attendance. The thing I miss most about Memorial Stadium was at halftime you could go back outside the stadium and continue tailgating.

The Tim Taylor's Tools was clever. WDAZ (Fighting Sioux Sports Network) did show the Beckett sign but Sweeney had no idea what it meant.

INCH's WCHA notebook disses Grand Forks
TheSiouxFan replied to CoteauRinkRat's topic in Men's Hockey
fightingsioux.com must not have liked the "bad publicity" they got. What a coincidence that is the exact same number of people the INCH website has listed as the capacity of the arena (I've seen some say it's 11,406). Yet the box score from fightingsioux.com still has the friday attendance as 11,153. "11, 675 -
There is no doubt the Alerus is one of the toughest places to play in the NCC. Week after week we hear other teams coaches prepairing for the noise levels. And we all know that domes are generally louder than outdoor stadiums. I personally can't think of as a tougher place to play in the NCC.

Didn't Stafford get another game winning goal Friday. Pretty impressive for a freshman, but my vote went to Porter.

I found this pretty comical. http://www.in-forum.com/articles/index.cfm?id=43127
