  1. Who really cares if they don't want to get an education. He knows he probably won't need one, because he is already drafted, and could always come back to finish school. Some people don't enjoy school and can't wait to get out, just like Travis Roche.

  3. Which is interesting now because they have the ESPN affiliation, I don't believe USCHO would ever come out and criticize a team for having a 95% full arena for a nonconference game.
  4. Were the tickets unsold or people just not showing up. Who cares if it was full or not we still had 11,153 in GF watching Sioux Hockey.
  5. Good point, The Sioux Bison game was still a sellout. And by looking around I didn't see any open seats, but that wasn't the case in Fargo last year when they announced a capacity crowd with many open seats throughout the "dome."
  6. Sioux fans hear this all the time after they beat the bison. "Hopefully we can meet in the playoffs," like a lot will change.
  7. Pretty sure from the Wisconsin incident, it'd be the Holiday Inn.
  8. Matt Greene wouldn't hurt a fly. All he seems to do is pick on the little guys he knows he can toss around. He has many chances to fight and "should have" but for some reason or another has opted not to, especially for a guy who is suppose to try and protect Parise.
  9. Cheers to that. I also don't care how much we outshoot our opponents this year. The score is the only thing that matters.
  10. Does anyone know when student tickets go on sale monday and where to pick them up?
  11. Seasons long, it means virtually nothing right now.
  12. I haven't heard anyone talk about this, but apparently there is a show to go along with the magazine. from www.theralph.com Sioux Illustrated - the TV Show Presented by Eide Motors Watch the brand new Sioux Illustrated
  13. I agree, to me there is no doubt who should start. If you look at the thread against Augustana, we won the game, but I and others were not to impressed with Bowenkamp. People also complained about the stale playcalling. Now, look what happens, second half, new QB, and an trickery play ends in a TD. Gotta play him until he stinks it up.
  14. "sioux fan in phoenix" was just following my lead.
  15. The Sioux remain undefeated (10-0-0) and just defeated the No. 1 team in the country in UNO 2-0. Maybe they can come away with a NC. http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/wsocce...RELEASE_ID=2216
  16. OK, my bad. Obviously I didn't mean it was already paid off. Just implying that it won't be a drain to the athletic department in any way. The arena last year made $1.7 million in profit and only continue to grow. http://www.in-forum.com/articles/?id=41064
  17. REA SportsCenter is already paid off. Thanks mostly to the revenue generated from REA.
  18. There is also now a lottery in North Dakota.
  19. I don't know what it was but Bowenkamp did not impress today. He doesn't seem to have a very good "pocket sense" and isn't a good scrambler, and many of his passes were off target. The Sioux also need a good running back to compete for an NCC crown. The defense will have to come up big this year.
  20. Scalping is only illegal in certain states, all's fair in ND.
  21. I know there was a Brad Vollrath who played hockey at GFC.
  22. How all you guys go Sunday morning. I heard that many people weren't interested and getting tickets wouldn't be a problem.
  23. Does UND need this game for financial reasons? Of course not. 3,000 tickets for one football game is not a big deal. The Sioux need to play the Bison for what moral? The Bison only have to look forward to is playing the Sioux in football and now that that is in jeopardy they'll have nothing. The Sioux on the otherhand have always waited to play the gophers in hockey. It's no doubt the Bison need the game more. I agree with DamStrait the average UND'er doesn't care as much about the game than NDSU. This may be due to the fact that UND is more nationally known and more of it's student body comes from around the nation and globe.
  24. It's hard to say who should be captain this year, because all the seniors seem to lack the leadership and drive, and I believe that is what happened down the stretch last year and might/will happen this years. Is Ryan going to be able to be there mentally for the team if he is captain with his mom's illness and his injuries. Disregarding their relative class, to me there seems to be no better leader than Andy Schneider, plays with intensity all the time and seems to come up big at key moments.
