There's no turning back for them...they're stuck at DI (and don't kid yourself- aa level) now for better or worse. They'll suck at almost every sport, except maybe football and wrestling, scratch every orifice for money, and barely survive but always be able to say..."WE'RE DI!!!"...and never get a sniff of a MAJOR DI National Championship (sorry...a DI-aa football championship is like Division II in the world of big college football - like it or not....)

Maybe you'd "OWN THE FARM" if you focused on UND items...you might have your own niche (OLD POSTCARDS ) - My suggestion is you broaden your inventory and then ( ) focus on UND! I've only been selling on Ebay for 2 years but made probably $2000+ posting UND items a few hours a week, about 5 or so things at a time. You're correct timing is important! You never know who's on or what they're looking for a particular time - the point was, regardless of SUPER HIGH PRICES - UND items outsell NDSU 95% of the time...and I can prove it...

no...she was basically a bleacher bunny for Victory...go up the steps...conduct some inane interview with the 4th cousin of Tori Hunter, etc...I've heard a lot criticism for her lack of "content" and general sports knowlege from the "very limited" viewers of Victory during the "can't see the twins period" for local sports fans...Katies nice but you need to know the subject you're talking about...not just look good on camera. Not a (real) hockey subject but one close to our hearts....with Victory Sports pulling the plug and handing the torch to FSN...what happens to our own beloved Katie O'Keefe??? She of the tight leather pants and high heels who so entertained us at Sioux Hockey games??? Hopefully that law degree is still in the picture....she's hot - NO DOUBT - but as a sports expert she left a lot to be desired! Her most insightful question ever was..."so how long have you been playing hockey???" Don't misunderstand me! not cracking on Katie but comparing her to Marnie Gellner (a former WDAZ alum who's doing quite well) - knowlege of the sport you're working is a definate asset on the job....anyone know if she survived the twins "transition" to Fox Sports?

and they shouldn't...#2 in the last regional poll before the post-season tourney should get you there - barring TOTAL disaster in the NCC tourney which the Sioux just barely avoided...I'm sure this will be another "WHAT? we didn't make the regional??? They're holding our big DI MOVE against us again (insert big BISON tears here)) but the Sioux deserve to make the regional based on their conference record - not a single tournament. BTW - THe Sioux should also be NCC Champs...what other sport totally disregards the conference season and crowns an "NCC CHAMP" based on a tournament?? If that was the case...Minnesota would have been the WCHA Champs this year. Basketball doesn't do it...Football doesn't do it....is this a track thing or what?

I know for a fact the Ralph pulled the plug on the Eagles...not vice versa...half of their "announced" ticket sales were from suiteholders, who didn't exactly opt to "buy" tickets...

George did a great job coaching around his goaltender - who was red hot!! That deserves credit in itself. He never gave his opponents a chance to crack his goalies cofidence, and that combo added up the national title!

and yeah the Ralph is nickel and diming everyone to death...my father-in-law has been a general season ticket holder since the new Ralph opened. Now with upping the price, the gun to his head to join the FS club AND pay a $10.00 "service charge" for his season tickets - he's decided to give it up. He figures, short of the Gophers, he can get into pretty much any game he wants anyway - and probably for less than the regular price of admission by getting a ticket from a scalper in front of the Ralph before pretty much any given game. I know Ralph didn't get to be a millionaire by giving things away but I don't think this is what he intended with his gift to UND. Someone is trying to make their name to move up in the "management" business...it's a shame!

You're absolutely right Federov...the free tours were a chance to show off the arena and entice people to want to pay to go to a game there. It's called public relations! Now that they're charging, they'll piss people off BEFORE they consider coming to a game there...it great but it's not Disneyland!! (although after a couple of those $5.50 beers the escalators can seem like Space Mountain!

actually I thought Belmore was the only one who consistently moved the ball - although he stalled near and in the endzone - like I said in an earlier post - might just be young QB nerves. He's a Bowenkamp prototype and that's the type of QB Dale seems to favor. Manke has his moments and he has that "knack" to make something out of nothing but I think he needs another year or two in the program to bloom. The biggest ?? was Carney. Highly touted as a recruit - he bailed on UND for another school then came back. He's big, talented, but seems to lack the drive to push him to the top...just my thoughts...
