Yeah - a Real DI sports costs money but it can also make money - UNLIKE your Fb, BB and other sports DRAINING your coffers for MANY, MANY years to come. (I can hardly wait until NDSU comes to the Legislature begging for $$$ for it's DI "Image"...HHAAHHHH!!! - Go somewhere else for $$ suckers!) My suggestion is to try alumni since no grads of NDSU have ever coughed up SERIOUS $$$ for "THE" ND state university....

Point being they were a VERY good team (league-wise) that DIDN'T have the chemistry needed to win a National Championship - and went out in a shocker in the regional to a so-so Michigan team....sh*t happens but you could sense it with that team and I hate to say it I sense it with this team too. The big tipper for me is the power play - why can't we SCORE with all those guns!?!

Hate to crack on the Sioux but I have a VERY funny feeling back to the '98 - '99 seasons (IE The Jason Blake Years) When we were SO loaded we thought there was no way we could lose, but we did, because there WAS an "I" in team. The national champs of '97 and '00 won because they played as a team - and individuals didn't matter! I think, whether they sense it or not, there are too many "I"'s and a lack of solid consistent goaltending on this team...thoughts???

hey Bison, TOO much asbestos in the Hyslop for it to be useable for anything in the immediate future. They found that out when they were planning the refit for a student wellness center. Now they're planning a brand new student facility near the REA complex. No doubt UND will just let the hyslop sit around and rot like the old Ralph. UND is still considering putting an inflatable dome over Memorial for an indoor football practice facility. No new word on the Old Ralph either...SO MANY FACILITIES...SO LITTLE ECONOMICAL USES...

You need to upgrade something since UND is kicking you ass PR-wise. hmmm..their own CABLE channel (available STATEWIDE and in FARGO on ch. 7 - the Fighting SIOUX Sports Network) Producing 30+ games televised a year VS. the paltry 3 to 5 games televised by the MIDWEST SPORTS LEADER - WDAY - who btw made the Sioux Bison FB game this year look like cotton candy at the fair - (so many colors, so little white balancing). UND sports available (with varying quality right now, but we're on the cutting edge of the technology) on the internet...a 130 MILLION DOLLAR NEW Sports complex since 2001 VS. the Benson Bunker Fieldhouse and begging for the state for $$$ for a renovation for our DIVSION I UNIVERSITY to the BSA...no wonder you guys ditched to DI-AA!! The last refuge of scoundrels (and losers who realize they're losing!) is to jump to a "higher" division and claim they're better for it. GOOD LUCK! PS - SDSU is already ahead of you on scheduling for next year....WOW...you guys are really a bunch of LOSERS!! - but then again, IMAGE is everything:-)

talked to a guy who talked to RT today...he said they're still tying up the loose ends for 1 more game and will have it wrapped up by tuesday. I for one hope it is GVSU - great addition and great future rivalry with the promise of serious competitiveness! Unlike the Bison who haven't been able to hold up their end except for the rare 1 in 5 fluke for the last decade. (we all know they love to live in the past...BRING ROCKY HOME!!!) They will play SDSU in october, according to the Jacks schedule released today, so nah nah nah nah - hey hey hey GOODBYE!! I guess UND announcing at least 7 home games next season (1 or 2 more than you would expect) those extra home dates will make up any revenue lost playing our "archrival" So long SUCKERS!! Words out UND will hold a press conference next tuesday Feb. 10th to announce their 2004 Football Schedule. Since UND has NEVER held a press conference on their upcoming schedule before - this leads me to assume NDSU will NOT be on that schedule and they prefer to deal with the media *hitstorm all at once...anyone else here anything?

I talked with Dean while Zach was away at the Juniors and he was SERIOUSLY CONCERNED Zach would get a call from NJ based on his performance in Finland...clearly there's a some concern among the coaches about him getting "the call". I didn't have a lot of doubt about Zach coming back but If UND wins a championship this year...what else does he have to accomplish at the college/world junior level? He might like to hang around another year to play with Brady but be serious....he'll need a college degree like Jim Archibald needed sensitivity training...just remember...Zach is a real credit to UND and college hockey in general. We have been privileged to watch him for two years at least and if he doesn't come back...he'll always have ties to the best college hockey program in the US. That can't hurt!!

Aaron is back with the basketball team as of tonight...I guess he's worked out the personal problems. Hopefully - we can use him!!
