He'll break if we can generate some sustained pressure and some quality scoring chances. That means getting some rebounds in front of the net and burying them when we get the chances.
End of the 2nd period.
3-1 MSU.
Sioux 0-6 on the PP, MSU 0-4.
SH goal really hurts right now.
I think once we get a win and some goals, the mental block will be off of our guys. But until then, it's going to look ugly.
The problem is that we follow up a good shift with a crappy shift. We need a consistent effort, shift in and shift out, game in and game out and we aren't getting it right now.
Replay is only as good as the official running the machine. They screwed up the first call (it should have counted) and it took them 10 minutes to figure out an obvious post-crossbar shot that never went in. Go figure.
This is the source of the "hot goalie" syndrome. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. I think this stuff happens to a team that is struggling like our team is right now.
I think a 1-5 start is a distinct possibility. Then I think we will get our lines straightened out, our goalie situation settled and our defensive corps settled into their roles. But I think it will get worse before it gets better. Good thing it's only October and not February.
