I suggest you watch your mouth, son. I have been supporting UND's sports teams since I was 6 or 7 years old. I sure as heck don't need a lecture on "loyalty" from a man who has just stated in public that he is thinking of becoming a BISON fan for all our non-hockey sports. I suggest that you, Mr. Small Price To Pay, change your username to Benedict Arnold; it's much more descriptive of your current attitude. You, along with Davek, yababy8 and the new troll (pivetz) are the biggest threat to our institution this side of Al Carlson.

We get it, you are a hockey-only, nickname-at-all-costs fan. Please go back to the Men's Hockey forum since that is all you care about.

The thing is, everything won't "go on as it always has". You sound like one of those 65 year old grandpas living in Kief, ND who thinks everything should stay the same forever and ever. Well, our world just doesn't work like that. Our world has very real cause and effect consequences in it and they will not be kind to UND if the name and logo stay. Our Potato Bowls and Homecomings will feature the likes of Mayville State, Dickinson State and Sioux Falls College. How many people will care enough to buy tickets to those matchups? Nothing less than the future of UND athletics is at stake on June 12th. Please, everyone, think long and hard about this before you vote.

The Big Sky isn't going to kick us out unless it is almost 100% certain that the name and logo will be retained forever. And that won't be known until 2013 at the earliest. Let us all hope that they don't decide they are sick and tired of us screwing around with this issue and give us the boot. It would spell the end of athletics at UND.

I voted today at the Alerus Center: Measure 1: No Measure 2: No Measure 3: No Measure 4: Yes Measures 2 and 4 will drive the most turnout, with Measure 3 drawing some people as well.

My condolences.

I just got back from voting early at the Alerus Center and I proudly cast my YES vote for Measure 4, which would repeal Carlson's Folly and allow UND to retire the name and logo.

As with everything else connected to the Big Sky Conference, this is contingent on what happens with Measure 4 on June 12th. Get out and vote YES and allow UND to achieve all it can at the Division I level.

Fetch is too busy trying to lure an AHL team to Grand Forks.

That must really irk Don Cherry and all the CHL brass.

It's the unrestricted submarine warfare that the CHL wages on College Hockey to get all the best talent in North America. It's also the "live and let live" attitude that College Hockey has towards the CHL. This is a unilateral war in which one side uses machine guns and the other side uses wooden swords. It shouldn't surprise anyone that these things are happening. College Hockey, Inc. needs to take the gloves off and really get after it. Stop being so nice and deferential towards the CHL.

I wonder how much "Torts" will whine and complain about his season being done? Thank God that clown is out of the picture until next year.

Don't stoop to their level. They have lost and they just don't realize it yet. Or they simply don't want to.

Ever since Karl Goehring graduated and moved on, our fan base has always whined and moaned about the goaltending at one point or another. Every goaltender we have had over the past ten years has been raked over the hot coals by our fans at one point or another. Anytime we lose, it's the goaltender's fault. I think it's time we all realize that this is a team game and you win and lose as a team. While I don't think Dell is the best we've had over the past ten years, he has been good for the most part and good enough for us to win most of our games. I can almost guarrantee you that Gothberg will be burned at the stake by the same people that are talking him up today.

Or the Nazi death camps in Europe.

Wow, what a bunch of granola-eating, politically correct hippies! It's plainly obvious that they have had it in for the nickname and logo all along, so we should just shun them and vote no on June 12th, right? Only if you believe the irrational rantings of the "nickname at all costs" crowd, led by the "incomparable" Rob Port. If you want your sanity intact, please get out and vote YES on Measure 4 so we can move on and build a successful Division I athletic department.
