    Do you think mental health counseling and treatment is just like coloring and playing with puppies and kittens? How about psychiatric meds? Are those "wrong" too? Getting back on topic, I don't think the "De-Stress" rooms cost anything substantial, and thus are not worth worrying about.

    The bolded area above is what the "De-Stress" rooms were for. But certain individuals like to blow them out of proportion and turn them into a straw-man to b!tch about some social and/or cultural issue. This is also the same crowd that thinks underage alcohol use is a "Rite of Passage" and just letting young people "sow their wild oats" is an example of "old-fashioned values", but I digress.

    Once we are into the MVFC scheduling rotation, NDSU will HAVE to travel to Grand Forks every other year. Unless they want to forfeit!

    What is wrong with "De-Stress" rooms? Would you prefer discount cards for local drinking establishments instead? Human beings are not robots; learning how to manage stress properly is important for everyone.

    We will have to cut more than just WH. This is about restructuring for the future, not just balancing this year's budget.

    You know, I hear people b!tch about these "cry rooms" and "safe spaces", but I have never seen a single news story about these things. Is this like Bigfoot (some people insist they have seen him, but most people haven't)?

    Most athletic departments as a whole don't make money; they are in the red every year (some more than others). I think there are maybe a dozen athletic departments in the entire NCAA that run in the black without being subsidized.

    Last time we missed the NCAA tournament was 2002. Before that, it was 1996.

    Speaking of American Sports Network, that is a network I wish Midco would pick up. During the Omaha game a few weeks ago, I watched some of their programming ads and they have a lot of good stuff on there (including college hockey).

    Boston College hasn't won a title since 2012......that is 6 years going on 7. I think the emergence of other programs out east (Quinnippiac, Union, Boston University in the post-Parker era) have made it harder on Jerry York and his staff.

    You realize that BU's "Diaper Dandies" will likely bolt for the NHL at the end of this season, don't you? They either win a title this year or they start over next year.

    That was someone else, not me. I am not going because I am sick of the Target Center and sick of how the tournament is run.

    I don't miss Hakstol. The program is bigger than any one coach or player and we'll be fine in the long-run. I believe we lost 9 regulars from last year's team; that is the biggest single season loss we have sustained in a very long time. You just cannot expect to replace all of them in one off-season. Look at Boston College: they won titles in 2008, 2010 and 2012 and missed the NCAA's in 2009. I think their fans are happy with that trade off, as most of the people on this forum would be. Having said all that, the season ain't over until it's over.

    I do not believe we are headed for an extended period of below average teams. This streak of being home for the first round and making the NCAAs was bound to end at some point.
