  1. Correct answer. There are no moral victories. It's Natty or bust!
  2. I think Denver or Michigan will have their hands full with UND. We deserve to be here just as much as they do. I really don't think the reigning NCHC Penrose Cup champions are necessarily huge underdogs against either of those teams.
  3. Whether or not either hire ends up working out will be interesting to watch.
  4. You will NEVER, EVER catch me doing that. I do not like front-running fans. It is truly nauseating.
  5. This would be a great time to reassert ourselves on the national stage by winning #9. Just think of the positive press and the impression we could make on prospective recruits.
  6. Even so, I could still see some of their players leaving for NIL offers and/or higher profile programs.
  7. Maybe the new coaching staff will better connect with them and get them to play better. Sometimes all it takes is a new voice.
  8. Probably a good idea. The longer he stays in one place, the more problems he causes.
  9. Does anyone know how many portal losses our peer schools in the Summit are experiencing?
  10. Our last losing season was 2001-2002 (the first season in the new REA). Before that, you have to go back to 1993-1994 (Gino's last season in charge). And before THAT, you have to go back to 1977-1978 (Rube Bjorkman's last season in charge).
  11. Exactly, they'll fire him once they get sick of his temper tantrums.
  12. All 100% true. However, we have fallen to 3rd place in Nattys. And next week is a golden opportunity to move into a second place tie with Michigan.
  13. I went to UND from 1993 to 2000, so I saw two NCAA titles (1997 & 2000).
  14. If we can afford to buy out Bubba and Berry within months of each other, why can't we afford to hire a competent WBB coach?
  15. A lot of P4 FBS players don't make it in the NFL either. It's one of the most exclusive clubs in the world.
  16. First they have to find fans to fill it up on a regular basis.
  17. They "just don't have" a lot of things. Screw the Pohlads and their bargain-basement Triple A caliber team.
  18. I don't doubt that. But you need to have a plan in place. Some institutions move up to Division I with no plan on how to be successful and it ends up being a dumpster fire.
  19. And lots of other schools with their hands out.
  20. You also need commitment, commitment, commitment. Being in Florida doesn't guarantee you success.
  21. 2011 was the late game. I remember watching Duluth and Notre Dame before that.
  22. I fixed the original post. Thanks for the info. I don't remember anything before 1987.
  23. 1987 vs. Harvard 1997 vs. CC 2000 vs. Maine 2001 vs. Michigan State 2006 & 2008 vs. BC
  24. That 1997 team was sophomore laden, but had just enough upperclassmen to provide leadership and experience. This team is similar.
