  1. So if they happen before 1991, they don't count? Sorry, but that's a little ridiculous. The Twins have two World Series championships. That isn't going to change. Ever. Period.
  2. I like this take. Winning will solve a lot of problems.
  3. Last time I checked, the Twins have two World Series championships (1987, 1991). So they don't belong in this picture.
  4. I've said it before: This team will be a work in progress. And I do think they will get better as the season goes on.
  5. That is what I am hoping for as well.
  6. Aside from the missed FGs, special teams have been special.
  7. I think we'll get better as the season goes on.
  8. No, it does not "hold true". Brookings, SD is way smaller and has way less to do. Hasn't stopped them from building successful FB and WBB teams. It's more about coaching salaries and institutional commitment/support. Something UND is getting better in. Now I suppose you'll go to the MBB forum and talk about how the climate is to blame for that team's problems. With all due respect, your point doesn't hold jack squat.
  9. Half the speakers don't work.
  10. More pitch and catch crap. That has to be #1 on the to-do list for the defensive staff.
  11. The team we are playing has been outscored 111-0 in their first two games. Let's keep that streak alive.
  12. Geography is a tired old alibi.
  13. The patented geography excuse.
  14. Really? There were three coaching changes over the off-season. VB may be next.
  15. This is a big season for the coaching staff. Another season of 3-0 and 3-1 losses and it may be time for a change.
  16. Please no more opposing QBs and WRs playing pitch and catch in the middle of the field with the nearest defender 15+ yards away. I got so tired of watching teams (some of them not very good) do that all season long at home.
  17. Too much nonsense inside and outside the locker room. Also, Berry was just not capable of motivating the team.
  18. We need to have this game completely out of reach by halftime. So we can get the 2nd and 3rd stringers some game time reps. It is important to build depth. That will pay off big time later in the season.
  19. Let's just agree that all school shootings are horrific and impact our most vulnerable and precious resource - our kids and grandkids. Please take your arguments about who's fault it is elsewhere. Thank you.
  20. You reap what you sow.
  21. He's been in Duluth for 25 years. He has made public comments harshly criticizing the new landscape in college athletics. He just sounds like he doesn't want to do it anymore. Dean Blais probably had it right when he said no one should stay in one place for too long. -Lucia did that. -Berenson did that. -York did that. -Gino did that. Sandy has had tremendous success in Duluth, but that won't save him forever. If he cannot adapt to the increasingly complicated landscape of college athletics, he will get left behind. If that happens, he'll end up leaving Duluth involuntarily.
  22. I think Sandy may be thinking about retirement. He's been there for a quarter century. That's a long time to be in one place. Maybe some newer, younger blood is needed in Duluth.
  23. Does anyone know who is in charge of organizing Potato Bowl week activities? Who funds all of that?
