  1. That whole thing was ridiculous.
  2. IALTO!!!
  3. When Blake missed a wide open net on a rebound in the first period, were we on a power play? I don't remember. Close gave up a ton of juicy rebounds this weekend. We need to get guys in position to take advantage of those when they are available. That could help us win some games going forward.
  4. To be honest, the parents of young athletes are the absolute biggest problem in youth sports. So I see your point.
  5. It's the general attitude: We lost, bad game.....but they're just "student-athletes", so we should just move on. You have to read between the lines to see it, but it is there. @UND-FB-FAN is right: We have been conditioned to accept slightly-above .500 football seasons as the best we can hope for. And I honestly think we can do much better.
  6. And I'll bet those student-athletes are building life-long relationships and learning life lessons while also winning.
  7. Isn't that a recipe for officials not being held accountable for their lack of performance? Maybe that's why refs keep their jobs despite poor performance. Putting the wrong player in the box (twice!) has nothing to do with being "human". It is pure incompetence.
  8. Anyone who thinks UND gets preferential treatment from NCHC officials is clearly uninformed.
  9. So it's no different than high school athletics? That is the attitude holding FB and other programs back. You may be satisfied with 6-5 and 7-4 seasons with an occasional playoff appearance sprinkled in, but I think we are capable of so much more.
  10. PP will come around. Sometimes you just need one to go in to take away the frustration factor.
  11. That is gross incompetence. How some of these refs keep their jobs is beyond my understanding.
  12. Maybe @Wilbur just wants everybody to have fun, but these are two non-conference games that will have PWR implications come March. As @Goon likes to say: Anything less than a sweep is unacceptable.
  13. So just accept that the status quo is as good as it will ever get? We are capable of so much more. We need to establish a Division I funding model that doesn't rely so much on 50/50 raffles and selling tickets to walk-up crowds on game day.
  14. Who are you again?
  15. Nope. I plan on holding that win over NDSU's head until we play them again.
  16. Bubba did a great job cleaning up the dumpster fire Mussman left him, but I think he has taken us as far as he can.
  17. If we want to take the next step as a program, we have to figure out how to win on the road.
  18. Do we break 8000 for attendance next week? I know I'll be there.
  19. Time to put Friday's debacle behind us. A split will be a great boost to our confidence and school pride. Getting swept at home would be humiliating and concerning. GO SIOUX, GOPHERS SUCK!!!
  20. Our recruiting took a dive for a few years, but it's rebounded big-time recently.
  21. Certain posters on here believe the B1G is going to take over the sport and UND will get left behind. I am simply pushing back on that narrative with facts.
  22. Let's please not do that FB vs. MH crap. I want both of them to succeed on a national level.
  23. But those pieces have to work together and not take whole periods off. I think we'll know more by Christmas.
  24. I honestly don't think we are that bad, though. St. Thomas, which probably still has some Division 3 players, put 4 goals on this team. And we can't put up even one? If we really are this bad, we have bigger problems to deal with. And I think we all know what that means.
