This is an important early-season game. And playing them tough is not a substitute for a win.

So? Are we supposed to wait until we play weaker teams to expect wins? Either we are a Top 10 program in the nation or we aren't. Are we now satisfied with playing good teams close? The NCHC schedule will be tough every weekend; I hope we have our issues figured out before Christmas.

Nope, never happy with a loss. At some point, we need to learn how to close out games.

Last night was a hard-fought game between two Top 10 programs. But yeah, I get your point, I am getting a little tired of playing second-fiddle to Duluth and Denver every March and April.

It's October. If we are still struggling with things in January, then I'll be concerned.

It was Lucia-head who always wanted to pump the brakes on the series after realignment.

I said some. I think most of them acknowledge it. The B1G fan boys who hate playing schools like ours are the ones I am talking about.

This is a rivalry that some Goofer fans refuse to acknowledge even exists. That is one thing that puts even more fuel on the fire on our side. On their side, it is stuff like this...... I know this game did not involve our team, but Goofer fans have complained for years about how excited our fans were about the result. So I like to remind them of this whenever I can.

Saturday left a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully, the players go into this weekend with a chip on their shoulders.

Now, that is no way to talk. Better competition makes you better and makes titles more valuable.

They have tremendous upside as a new Division I school. We should try to get them in the NCHC and MVFC too.

It's a matter of context. Fargo is small compared to Minneapolis or even Omaha. But it isn't small compared to Brookings or Vermillion.

Ahem, our OOC schedule is still way better than UNO's.

I'd rather play teams like this than the cupcakes Omaha filled their schedule with. Beating up on soft teams teaches you nothing.

What a rotten UND sports Saturday this turned out to be.

Q has a more veteran team, so you don't have as many ups and downs. We have tremendous upside, but we have a lot to clean up.
