  1. I heard a rumor there was some UND conversations, I'd be shocked if there wasn't. but IMHO he's not someone that fits the current offensive strategy at UND. Arizona fits him much better.
  2. The kid as phenomenal hands, best I've ever seen at the high school level. He is quick and shifty and has developed into a really good skater. He is definitely a skilled young man. In the past he's taken some negatives for basically never crossing into his own zone and just being a blue line breakaway specialist, but I think he's improved a bit on two-way play, and a lot of that criticism is just his very high hockey sense of recognizing play and putting himself if good positions on the breakout. He also has a good setup with a few kids who can catch a pass and give him a pass and know how to benefit from playing with him. Hès also got great conditioning and seems to never leave the ice. The points seem to come easy for him at this level but also we have to recognize the depth of talent in high school in ND this year is the shallowest I've seen in 20 years, by far, especially at defense and goalie, truly is a massive decline in defensive ability, and the benefit of playing some really terrible, horrendous defensively teams twice is going to pile points, and it appears a coaching staff that is supporting him in racking them up. I would think he'll play USHL next year at the end of this, the rest of the players speed and ability and more importantly physical play will be a huge factor as he's quite easy to move off the puck, could be a big issue for him to overcome but he's just damn good at avoiding it and sneaky around behind people. As one scout said, pretty tough to hit what you can't catch. He's a kid I would make a point to watch at this level this year.
  3. I don't see how a hockey team can be confused with massively overpriced plastic status signals used by douchey beta males to pretend they're outdoursy, but I guess I don't work in the trademark office for a reason.
  4. I know it's a holiday tomorrow but, you've got to pace yourself. Passed out drunk before first news at 5 is gunna make your hangover brutal tomorrow.
  5. I got the sense that Hennesey was more than a little perturbed about the post game interview process last night, and his repeated description of "it was bad, bad, bad, bad" about the game and the general tone to the voice seemed to relay some type of internal knowledge that whatever the issues are or dynamic involved with the team it was a situation beyond salvaging for the season or the current regime. I wonder if he just knows its over for his buddy. that's got to be a crappy feeling Or maybe he was just tired of watching it all too, who knows
  6. The analytics excuse mantra is getting a bit long in the tooth.
  7. Didn't stay on ice for the trainer to come out... or "gopher" gotta "gopher" top get a 5
  8. As good as shot as any.. Really 2-5 is a crap shoot. Sounds like Legacy got "Lumberdomed" a bit last night. Long bus ride, small ice, questionable calls, good concessions, hostile crowd..... always a possibility to find oneself in a dangerous close game up there, and they have some kids who can score the puck.
  9. Could say they missed Max Vig (Bemidji commit) as well but seems those western Nodak kids don't fall into the Sioux Falls Power marketing program too often, maybe they just need the agent the West Fargo kids are using.
  10. I see legit issues for Minot if they get into a real horse race with North, WF or Central, I think those teams have the chance to matchup with them best at this point. Still a grind it out month left but If a guy had a friendly wager on seeing a Central Minot final, I thinks he'd have as safe a bet as possible.
  11. Hotel rooms $586 a night?
  12. Whoop whooop .667% of a win on the wekeend!!! Facebook crowd going wild!!!!
  13. Not enough emphasis can possible be put on top of how propsterously stupid of a statement this is. To put it kindly.
  14. OMG please give it up with the Business suits bS and just catch a damn pass
  15. Just a "little" difference. Not quite comparable situations but... mmmmokay
  16. Being in the same building is a big deal I think, just being around the atmosphere the other games, popping back and forth for players before and after their games. The segregation, the access for parents, grandparents, everyone just being around, it robs those kids of the opportunity it to fully participate in something they will have earned for those that make it that far. Last three or four seasons there's been some really competitive games east v west in the consolation bracket that people stumbled upon and enjoyed before their own game, made for a better atmosphere for sure. 0.ZERO people will stumble over to the eagles to check out a game they aren't directly involved in. They don't play the CLASS B tourney back side bracket at the BHS gym, that's for sure.
  17. It is already published, all consolation games are at Eagles, Boys and Girls
  18. If and I mean only on a BIG IF, North Dakota could get a huge demand and crowd for a championship game. I would propose the tourney be played in Fargo with the Girls followed by the Boys championship game be played up at the Ralph on Saturday Night. But that's not going to happen for many many reasons
  19. I don't even buy he's allowed to talk with kids I guarantee not a single effing one of them will say Eagles arena (remodeled or not) will be a respectable way of ending their hockey career. More like NDHSAA is saying "GTFU, you're trash, shouldn't even be here, you're not even good enough to be in the same building as the real teams, this place will ease your transition to the beer league." But my guess is after this year, it could be a couple EDC teams that end up over there and we all know that it aint gunna fly again after that.
  20. It is rotated every year between Minot and Bismarck
  21. Thats because you never talk to anyone outside of GF, and of course, every GF kid wants his/her own bed and not have to travel, good lord.
  22. Not at all. The reality is the Scheels/Farmers setup is considerably better for the state tourney. Especially when Boys and Girls are at the same time. Hosting State tournament games on the Olympic sheet is not ideal at all.... but playing games off site at Eagles Arena like they are doing this year is a pathetic insult to the kids who busted their careers to make it to "state" Destroys the experience for players and fans. Insulting and lazy solution.
  23. Having watched both, Davies will struggle to keep up with Minot, they don't match up well at all. Century is done with Minot till potentially WDA, Legacy would have to play the perfect game to beat Minot, but with the game up in Minot.... going to find the ice a bit tilted as always up there, tough place to play. Can't give them a PP. Minot is a wagon on a mission to do something special this season and they play like they want it... that's a dangerous team. Probably going to want to switch WF and Davies on your list based on who all the have left to play. IMO
  24. 1 vote later. - Signed anyone facing Jtown in the WDA tourney. Jamestown is a good team with potential and is going to cause fits to anyone this season, outside of Minot and Central and even then, chip chair chance.
  25. That would, and should be hard to pass up
