EDC is going to just be a blender, so getting too darn worked up about seeding in either conference right now seems pointless. Minot can and should be looked at as a true contender to beat the smaller single school teams out east, at least first round, but Central is still the clear favorite. But this is the time of year injuries and illnesses can affect outcomes more than any other factor. Chip chair chance, just get to Grand Forks. Central RR WF and I still think North comes out of the EDC tourney. Minot Legacy Mandan Jamestown

I guess Hazen Dickinson is maybe the most competitive matchup tonight? Blowout Thursday?

I'm sure the Huskie fans of Stearns County, will again be lining the streets, bowing down to the UND fans as they drive through town to the rink.
-
ahhhh.... pot kettle ? I think a ton of kids would love to be able to pad the stats against this G-PR team this year. The top end WDA teams don't even play Hazen with their varsity, and havent for years, at all and the others only play them once. With the Minot North team coming online here next year I think that gets worse so that teams can keep some non-con games.

I heard a rumor there was some UND conversations, I'd be shocked if there wasn't. but IMHO he's not someone that fits the current offensive strategy at UND. Arizona fits him much better.

The kid as phenomenal hands, best I've ever seen at the high school level. He is quick and shifty and has developed into a really good skater. He is definitely a skilled young man. In the past he's taken some negatives for basically never crossing into his own zone and just being a blue line breakaway specialist, but I think he's improved a bit on two-way play, and a lot of that criticism is just his very high hockey sense of recognizing play and putting himself if good positions on the breakout. He also has a good setup with a few kids who can catch a pass and give him a pass and know how to benefit from playing with him. Hès also got great conditioning and seems to never leave the ice. The points seem to come easy for him at this level but also we have to recognize the depth of talent in high school in ND this year is the shallowest I've seen in 20 years, by far, especially at defense and goalie, truly is a massive decline in defensive ability, and the benefit of playing some really terrible, horrendous defensively teams twice is going to pile points, and it appears a coaching staff that is supporting him in racking them up. I would think he'll play USHL next year at the end of this, the rest of the players speed and ability and more importantly physical play will be a huge factor as he's quite easy to move off the puck, could be a big issue for him to overcome but he's just damn good at avoiding it and sneaky around behind people. As one scout said, pretty tough to hit what you can't catch. He's a kid I would make a point to watch at this level this year.

I don't see how a hockey team can be confused with massively overpriced plastic status signals used by douchey beta males to pretend they're outdoursy, but I guess I don't work in the trademark office for a reason.

I know it's a holiday tomorrow but, you've got to pace yourself. Passed out drunk before first news at 5 is gunna make your hangover brutal tomorrow.

I got the sense that Hennesey was more than a little perturbed about the post game interview process last night, and his repeated description of "it was bad, bad, bad, bad" about the game and the general tone to the voice seemed to relay some type of internal knowledge that whatever the issues are or dynamic involved with the team it was a situation beyond salvaging for the season or the current regime. I wonder if he just knows its over for his buddy. that's got to be a crappy feeling Or maybe he was just tired of watching it all too, who knows

The analytics excuse mantra is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Didn't stay on ice for the trainer to come out... or "gopher" gotta "gopher" top get a 5

As good as shot as any.. Really 2-5 is a crap shoot. Sounds like Legacy got "Lumberdomed" a bit last night. Long bus ride, small ice, questionable calls, good concessions, hostile crowd..... always a possibility to find oneself in a dangerous close game up there, and they have some kids who can score the puck.
