Have to always remember the lens through which players where viewed was quite different then too. Players of his size had an even bigger stigma associated with them then, still the bruising enforcer era. The game has changed and for Duncs to have NHL interest coupled with his size at that time was a testement to what they thought of his a abilities. Duncan was always destined to be a Euro player in my mind and hes had a hell of a career doing it. I'd imagine hes quite comfortable and much better off than toiling in the American or East Coast. BTW he came BACK to the AHL even and was mildly successful, I credit his wisdom in going to the situation that fit him and his family the best.

Going into next year the 2 most glaring " This cant happen here" things are Shooting percentage being bottom 10 in ALL of college hockey. and the PP. These are not programs with which UND can or should be associated with

Jackson has certainly earned his spot for another year but it is possible that the recruiting tandem of Bubbs or Eades feeding into Hak just had nore weight than Jackson and Shaw feeding into Bubbs. I think Smaby has got more potential as well. But really, we don't know... we dont know how these guys are viewed around the rinks of western canada and the upper midwest for sure. I would think that given the state of the progrum... we have become a softer target to recruit against. Flipped Donovan. But I see no eartly benefit to holding onto coach Shaw, in any way shape or form, Results have been pathetic and no amount of spin can change that. Maybe we are all completely oblivious like the applogists are ranting but... facts are the UND PP has zero respect in college hockey, many many many other teams manage to consistently take advantage of the extra man.

Curses are real. Cubs had to sacrafice a goat er somethin. Whatever offering we have to make to the curse oracles ... we do it. Buff has missed significant time injured,playing 37 of WPG's 71 games this year. Tucker has yet to see an NHL game other than in suit in a suite. Colton would be well advised to return to school, I dont see him near where his brother was when he left.

What happened in the past is the past. We dont celebrate the chicken for the eggs it used to lay. We enjoy the chicken soup and move on. What these men achieved this year was the result. Nothing more nothing less, the 2016 Natty didnt score any goals in 2017 or 2018... or 2019.. yet.. i guess some feel theres still hope for that... but dont hold your breath If these men move on and produce similar results in their next phase.. the results matter. always in every aspect of life ... im sorry if thats a difficult concept..... buts its the facts of life. Cant score or be effective in the next league... no contract... no future in hockey. Cant develop... no future. Cant get numbers to add up, ... no career in accounting... its not hard. A salesman who cant get sales... results matter. Not going to happen. Doesnt matter that the peterson account was a slam dunk 4 years ago. Results matter. If you dont produce, you are of no use.
