I was just thinking the same thing… it’s unbelievable. Corruption in Fargo, some luck and talent, but mostly corruption.

Thank Fargo U AD for that one. Fargo ag school is literally the devil right now for FCS football. Absolute stranglehold … and I doubt it’s all being done within the rules…

No question that Power 5 programs compared to FCS will have significantly more financial power to recruit players, but don’t for one second think that some FCS communities won’t put together sizable offers as well. Think Montana, Montana State, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, etc. it’s going to happen. UND also needs to be at the forefront. Sure, UND themselves can’t tackle name-image-likeness (NIL), but the fan base and the Grand Forks community needs to get onboard before they’re way behind the 8 ball.

Every coach in the country does in home visits, even the sh*tty ones. But, well, you see what you want to see. As a disclaimer, for you folks who like to jump to conclusions, Danny Freund is NOT a sh*tty coach. With that said, happy to see Bubba and Danny out there. By saying “you’re out-of-bounds”, Shep was not just offering an opinion, but rather making an accusation. He was, how do you say, calling me out. Your “holier-than-thou” attitude is exhausting, also. Your questions are excessive and off-base. I’m not going to answer because that is distracting to this forum. But don’t worry, I’ll make sure to follow up on that “playing Madden 2021 and winning [my] fantasy FB league championship” in order to provide some validation to you fine folks on here. Lastly, I think the comment “settle down” should be received just fine. It shouldn’t hurt too bad. But, I guess, that is just *my opinion*. Well, they can’t have that mentality, so I stand by that. You’re making an assumption by saying I brought it up because I have someone in mind. With that said, in general, coaches need to be able to sell the school (recruiting) and build up (develop) the student-athletes, who in this day and age are more athletes than students. You’re out of bounds to call me out. Don’t use me as a scapegoat. I’m not calling out any particular coach, rather saying that in general this is required to improve the team. And all coaches have “fire”, but that’s generic. How are you relative to your competition? Bottomline, you can be buddy buddy with the coaches all you want, but they need to do better. Period. 7-4, then 3-8, then 6-5, then 5-6, is not good enough, even at a “hockey school”. Needs to elevate. The whole unit (coach, players, fanbase) needs to elevate- that much should be obvious. And you need to settle down. Drink less coffee.

It’s a bit of a both. But more times than not, need better players. I think the culture/attitude of the defense has worsened quite a bit, and that’s definitely on the coaches too. They need to lead better, it’s not ALL on the players. Coaches can’t have a “I just work here” mentality and approach to coaching this game of passion and fire.

Bench or portal. Not a D1 player. He’s one of those DII players on the team that I get blazed on here for pointing out.

UND’s defense was bad this season. With the exception of a few, most of the defensive players transferring out is a good thing. These transfers were probably somewhat promoted by the coaching staff.

They suck. Horrible. “Championships start with scholarships”? I’m sorry- it takes more than just scholarships in this day and age. It’s not 1992 anymore. Get with the times, get off your ass, and talk to people.

Yeah, I can’t agree with this. Need as much prompting as possible for the lazy fans. In fact, fans should be up making noise the entire time the defense is on the field, not just third down.

Well, improvement would be 8 regular season wins and/or a playoff victory. 7-4 and/or a first round playoff exit would be the status quo. The thing is, if Bubba does his job, the improvement expectation is not unrealistic. Bubba and his staff (and his players) need to do their job. Like Bubba said in his press conference yesterday, it is his responsibility.

You are correct. The NCAA has just recently allowed this with NIL, and as Gundy states, do we want to act now and get things going or wait to be behind the eight ball? Let’s get something formed, so that we can get folks to push this forward. I - as well as others I am sure - would be apart of that championship building movement.

Absolutely, and since UND didn’t have to pay that, funnel that to the student-athletes. Let’s build some championship rosters.

Bubba’s end of the season press conference. Very few changes coming. Bubba was quite taken back by the fact UND fans could be questioning his 3-4 defense and its UND heritage. Basically, he only thinks what needs to improve is “execution” and they need more depth on D-line and secondary. He left out linebackers, which I don’t necessarily agree with. By saying the magic word “execution”, everyone’s job is safe.

I completely agree with this, and it’s a disgrace. Another reason to hate that cow institute in Fargo. What goes around comes around, though, thankfully. As an aside, though, because of this corruption, the FCS playoff committee definitely needs to seed the top 16 teams. Take this stupid bidding process out of it.
