Nah, you called me stupid for identifying both programs have issues. You’re worthless, but nice chat, like you said. -

If you’re pushing your narrative of blind support, then yes. -

You’re lost and apparently unable to face reality. UND football has had both a 3-8 and 5-6 season within the past 6 seasons and won only 1 playoff game over the past 15 seasons. UND is 1-9 vs NDSU and SDSU during the D1 era … They are regionally and nationally irrelevant. Need changes. Your bullsh*t narrative bandaid doesn’t change that. With all that said, basketball program is worse than football program, but both need change. -

The concern is a path of irrelevance, not which team is better. Essentially, both UND football/basketball are regionally and nationally irrelevant. -

Ha! I’m the stupid one? You should look in the mirror. UND has no use for people like you; you just provide excuses, which UND doesn’t need anymore of. UND football is a tetter-totter of irrelevance; accept it; winning season followed by a losing season. Back and forth: Irrelevant. NDSU and SDSU rule the roost. UND football has won one playoff game in the past 15 seasons… For all intents and purposes, UND football and basketball are on the same path. Did you get all that, stupid? -

Chaves has his own agenda. Conversations are limited, if not completely useless, per my personal experience. Maybe I’ll try again if UND football and basketball continue to go down the path of irrelevance. -
We’ll see what happens. I’m guessing the same thing as previous seasons. But it’s okay, within reason, to hope for a miracle.

Funny how it’s always offensive players? Defense is losing it.

In this era of transfer portal college football, UND having Bubba as head coach is a liability. Too old school and behind the times. Danny Freund is already doing his best to pick up the slack, but the defensive side of the ball is quickly falling behind. Change is needed for UND to take the next step.

2008 - Mussman 2013 - Bubba These critical DI UND football leadership moves have been disappointing. When will it be time for the next move? And will it be better executed?
-
Rightfully so. But, Faison went with the “solid choice” back in 2013 and here we are. Time marches on.

Dom should just make the commitment and get “NDSU” tattooed on his forehead.

Waletzko was a great player for UND. Need to continue to develop the offensive line and get more players like him for UND. As said previously, NDSU and SDSU’s consistent development of the offensive line is what puts them out in front of the pack. I think Smith needs to still take a step forward. He was too inconsistent in 2022. He would have a big play, but then follow that up with several lackluster plays. Hence the reason Hoosman easily surpassed him on the depth chart. Hoosman was the textbook definition of consistent. Smith needs to do better with that, especially given the opportunity in front of him for 2023.

What’s more funny is how much UND kool aid you drink. UND gets recruits quite equal to SDSU but the rate of development between the two programs is embarrassingly contrasted.
-
No, not a coincidence. Offense is led with more vision and intelligence than the defensive side of the ball.

Money, warm weather, and girls … sounds like a done deal for most 18-22 year olds. Hell, most 45-50 year olds …
-
Kinda missing the point, aren’t you? Re: Player utilization and development.
-
Too busy running for 300+ yards on everyone …
-
Few other staples: qb counter, jet sweep, running back/full back wheel route, qb power … but yes, a gap power is their bread and butter lets be honest, ndsu has won for over a decade plus not because of their deep play book, but because they develop line of scrimmage (OL/DL) players better than any other FCS program. They consistently take guys with minimal expectations and turn them into NFLers
-
But the turd crushes the will of the opposing team.
-
This isn’t correct though; they do some exceptional things. It’s a misconception, probably spread on here (SiouxSports) mostly. NDSU does change it up formationally and with shifts. Lots of different ball carriers. QB run game is well thought out. If you want to see “classic” old school football done the wrong way, go back and watch Rudolph’s offense at UND. It was basically what Minot State ran in the late 90s.
