I don't see why being in the WCHA over another conference would make a difference. When you've seen BSU's arena, you would wish that they could get a new one. High school teams play in better rinks. In fact, I believe Bemidji's high school does play there.

Unless you're only going to the UND game, even with an upper bowl ticket you could sit in the lower bowl. It wasn't filled last year for the non UND games. Not sure on anything dealing with prices.

Duluth is a pretty big city. I would like to think they could handle themselves. Where do you draw the line. I think BSU needs a new facility over Duluth. Did Mankato and SCSU get state funding for their arenas?

Sounds like yet again Parise is getting mugged. I get the feeling Blais will be making some phone calls to the league office over the break. Just because Parise is a good player, he should not be expected to be able to fight through more crap.

I'm here, but I'm also watching the wisconsin/mankato game. Wisco finally ended up winning Friday nights game on Saturday 4-1.

I'm guessing you were one of the wonderful GVSU fans calling and knocking on the doors of our team all night. GVSU played very good. Their defense was fast, but we held them offensively, our offense just couldn't finish a drive. Way too close of a game for GVSU fans to be gloating.

I don't think we played our best game of the season. Our defense stepped up to the challenge, but it took our offense a while. We made a great run and can't hang our heads. I truly believe that one play made the difference. If GVSU doesn't return that fumble for a td... Congrats Sioux on one heck of a season.

Tough to count us out yet. Our offense has looked better in the second half. Plus, their defense is spending a lot more time on the field. It's going to be down to the wire.

Our offense came out and passed the ball very well. Too bad we Bowencamp couldn't get rid of the ball when they blitzed and now GVSU is on the doorstep.

Yes the fans have the right to boo our powerplay. We are last in the nation. But, at the same time Blais brings up a valid point. Yelling at the players to shoot is not helping them.

I think you have a good point Sprig. Our offense has not played a complete game all year. Our coaches do a very good job of adjusting and I expect our offense to be better in the second half.

First half thoughts: UND's defense is doing the job that they need too. They've been on the field for a lot of this game, but only gave up three points. That's huge. Offensively we need to get things going. We don't look terrible, but when one play out of three is leading to negative yardage, that's not good. I think we need to rush up the middle more and pass more. We only gave up the one sack towards the end of the half. Our o-line is handling their d-line. Special teams. We missed a field goal and are missing Lueck. I think this will really hurt us. I'm thinking the second half might be a bit more wide open. I think only one pass was attempted for over 20 yards in the first half. Again, without Lueck this really hurts us. Our offense needs to keep the ball for a while and keep our defense off the field. We are not playing great, but we are in this game.

I like how ESPN gives a little personal info on each player. These guys are doing a good job. Bubba needs to get our corners to tighten up. Giving them a 10 yard cushion is not good. I get the feeling that their qb's stats might be overrated. If they run that shovel play a lot it's an easy completion. I do think that the shovel play will come back to haunt them at some point this game.

GVSU's defense is fast. We need to quit trying to run to the outside and start sprinting up the middle.

We really needed that fg. The radio is about 1 minute behind the TV. Guess I'll have to listen to ESPN. Though with Eddie at the helm, maybe ESPN will be better.

Big stop for the Sioux on the goal line. We gave up three points, but now we can make adjustments.

Sounds like GVSU runs a lot of trickery with their handoffs. Their qb is really able to move.
