so bubba has 450k to spend on assistants??? how many does he have to hire? i'm assuming freund and myers will stick around so that leaves how many more hires?

Yup. They talk "85" but the DI manual says you have to maintain 90% of that to keep DI status: 77.
The 77 number is fact and reality based.
is it true that mac schools all agree to keep schollies down near the 77 to keep costs somewhat down?

Are both Bubba and DeBoer still on campus or in GF?
that would a very good questions for the herald??? seems like they log onto ss.com see what going on and then write a story w/o calling the athletic departement and ask some questions....the last few articles have no direct quotes from faison whatsoever which means i thik they are writing what they think is happenign over there??

Seems interesting all these other teams can quickly find a coach but we have a "process."
A rule without consequences is merely a suggestion.

Sioux Football Insider guys are reporting they would be surprised if Bubba is not the guy named after the weekend. Who to believe gfhockey reporting Deboer or Fritz and Oskie reporting Bubba? Should be an interesting day tomorrow.
i've been thinking we would have a hc a little after 5pm on the 11th....what makes you think anything is happen tomorrow or the day after that or the day after or the day after that......??

am i the only one disappointed with the herald again on this one...maybe a day before hopefully having a new coach there is nothing in the herald....click on the sports link and you see kotelnicki and kleiman??? when wasthe last time someone at the herald tried to contact faison???

i know that most fans of the ndac are thinking that their beatdown on new hampshire should be at least the lead story on sportscenter if not on the first page of espn.com....instead espn.com put this one their front page...haha

Didn't a poster here predict a Dec 20 or 21 announcement and we all assumed that it was related to an FBS level bowl game? Just surfing through the channels tonight and seeing UWW it made me wonder.
Yeah, I'm dreaming, but ...
- Faison saw the Fargo Freak-out when "Bohl to UWyo" was announced and wouldn't want to do that to UWW.
- Two, TWO, finalists? I don't recall any other place coming down to two finalists for a position.
- Leipold has the credentials and last I can find he was making $100k base at UWW.

i remember that cryptic post too (who was the poster again)...if i was bubba and kalen i went thru all this just for show when ll was the guy the whole time i would be pissed....and yes the herald reported we were down to two but no where in there does it quote faison backing that up does it??? i hope a press conference is announced tomorrow for monday afternoon and either its bubba, kalen or leipold.

Obviously Deboer and Bubba know each other and worked together as top assistants at Southern Illinois. Given the current situation there with Lennon, any chance they chose each other to come with them if selected?!!

For the rumor about Mussman going to SU (which has to be ludicrous doesn't it? ...doesn't it?), offenses we had were pretty good with him. Let's assume the new coach is Bubba (there's worse bets in the world right now), Bubba obviously knows Muss, any chance he's the OC. I know it would be unbelievably odd, but his kids go to school here. I think he genuinely really liked it here. idk... He's gonna be an OC somewhere probably.... just throwing it out there
if muss had named himself oc last year he might still have a job....

really whats the biggest difference bt caruso and deboer....both youngish and from smaller schools with great results...why is everyone so high on caruso but luke warm on deboer?

There certainly are a lot of local connections along with Faison knowing him from his NMSU days. He deserves a look. Obviously he didn't apply but Faison is reaching out to people so perhaps he will give Els a call.
Plus he has a 32-9 record as a head coach (Hastings College)
i would still take pflu's background (oregon and such) over els (ohio and such)....
