interesting anyone familiar with or know someone that used the "rule of 55?"

economy=houses 1000 bucks in rent a month bc you don't have 50k to spend down but you have 200k in your 401k and don't want to pay the penalty....seems like a great idea to me 1000 bucks into a house instead of renting....
