That was a huge jump in prices for hockey. Have we been told any reasons behind this? A dollar a ticket is one thing, but they jumped almost 5 and in some cases 11. They obviously can charge that because we pay it, but just a little explanation of charging 16.50 for a ticket against Michigan Tech last year, and now 21. hmmmm

lol, you must be some relative of his or something. He had a couple nice outings for the Sioux, nobody is doubting that. But he is not the best returning goalie. If you honestly think that he proved that in the very very little time he saw, then you have to be a relative.

I really hope some concessions can be made on both sides to avoid this from happening. It will really destroy the progress that has been made over the past decade. What are some people's predictions of what will happen?

Was looking at Newberry and they might have a nice showing of fans this weekend. Their AD department put together a trip where people could fly up on the team charter and go to the game this weekend. Looks like they could have as many as 70 people here. That is nice to see.

I would like to see the Black jersey only worn a couple times a year. Reserved for big games or tournaments.

The idea of UND benefiting more than NDSU form continuing to play them is absurd. If McFeeley believes this and other Bison fans believe this, then they are drinking the same Kool-Aid that Chapman and Taylor are giving them. I would love to see the rivalry continue, but Bison fans and the Fargo media coming out and saying that UND needs the Bison is a stretch. Does NDSU and UND need each other? Only to fill the seats of their stadiums a couple times a year. UND doesn't get as much because they don't have nearly as big as stadium. NDSU stands to benefit more from a sellout. That article actually made me start laughing out loud.

$27 is a lot of money and I'm not disputing that fact. The problem I have is with Fargo and their media coming out against the ticket prices. Will they address NDSU ticket prices in the future? I have a feeling Forum communications will be eating a little crow when the Bison are forced to meet the needs of their D1 budget, by raising their prices to the same level. Simple economics of supply and demand. There is a great demand for the Sioux/Bison game. UND tested the marketplace by raising the prices to 27 and what has happened? Looks to be another sellout, therefore they made a decision that had to been risky on their part, but it paid off.

Definitely going to be a cold one for the students camping out in line. Really great to see that enthusiasm displayed for the team. Hope everything goes well. Stay Warm !!!!!

Too bad there isn't any snow outside yet, could make snowballs and pelt any people who think they are going to cut in line. Those are some of the best memories of the old engelstad.

I've had the same problem and have yet to find a solution. I have a lot of friends who sit around me and just got disgusted and quit bringing their headsets. I wish the REA would address this. I was told by some management that they were working on something, but that was the middle of last year and haven't heard since.

Does anyone remember the time when UND was playing at home in the first round of the WCHA playoffs, UND had two men in the box. Calder, was the first of the two to come out, took the puck on a breakaway, and scored what looked to be his 2nd short-handed goal of the game. There was a big discussion and after a lengthy delay, they decided the goal would not count. Their explanation was that Calder came out of the box too early. I remember how livid Hennessy and O'Keefe were over that.

I seen an interview with Dean over the weekend and he said he does NOT support gun control. Mike Wallace of 60 minutes, who was doing the interview, replied, " so you have the gay hunter vote locked up then?" I thought it was funny.

He played very well. It would really be nice to have him on the team this year. Hopefully we will be able to catch a few more games of him this year.

The only time the publis will be happy is when the students are left outside of the REA and forced to watch the game from the screens on Demers and Columbia.

BisonMav, I definitely hear and understand your points. I am just frustrated with some of the NDSU administration and some of my Bison alumni who refuse to admit that there are some huge downsides with going D 1. I don't need a lecture on all of the good points and why they are going, just some people think all sports are going to compete at a high level.
