  1. It will be interesting to see what type of attendance UND will have at the game. Since it is homecoming, I would think it would be a good showing. A lot of noise in the Alerus can really disrupt a team, especially one who likes to run the no-huddle.
  2. Let's move on. Forget who is the best goalie returning, what school has the best duo/trio of goaltenders?
  3. I was just at the Fargodome and it was $3. I double checked that with the Fargodome website. Yes, from what I have been hearing, this parking fee will be for all events.
  4. I, among others, would love to hear about the whole ordeal, including the process of letting you in and selecting your seats.
  5. It is not a policy that was willingly adopted by UND, it is a policy mandated by the NCAA.
  6. I'm too young also, but have heard a lot of stories. I remember they had a reunion a couple years ago in the old ralph. I would be very interested to hear some more stories about what they did before, during, and after the games.
  7. Drove by on friday and saturday to see the line. I was very impressed with all the people braving the cold. It really does show you the level of support our team has in this town and amongst the student body. But then again, it sure doesn't hurt when the games are being played in the Ralph either. I'm sure it will be quite the experience for many, but maybe in the years to come then can push up the date for this by a couple of weeks, so the temps are not getting down to that freezing range at night.
  8. What does anyone know about Auggie? I'm sure things haven't changed with them from the past. They are going to pass, pass, pass, pass.
  9. I have no problem with a coach making a little money on the side, but standing by the trophies in the commercial and stating that Minnesota Mortgage is #1 is a little bit on the tacky side.
  10. The "bubble screen" has to go. It doesn't help when Bowenkamp continues to throw it over the heads of the receivers. I hate that play. Those goaline stands where very impressive and I believe were a key to the victory. They really turned the momentum in the game. The NCC is a whole different game and it will be very interesting to see what kind of team shows up for UND. It is time for some of our upperclassmen to step up and make an impact.
  11. http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforkshe...ion/6816623.htm Here is the link to the editorial on why the Alerus Center needs to charge for parking. I have no problem paying for parking, but the article mentions 3 or 4 dollars. That might be a bit much, 3 dollars would seem to be the limit there. I have a huge problem with the editorial saying that you pay a lot of money to pay for parking at twins and wild games, and that we need to take that into consideration when paying for parking at football games and other events at the Alerus. I guess the beauty of living in Grand Forks is this isn't Minneapolis or St. Paul. Nothing against those cities, but I choose to live in a smaller city so I don't have to deal with those kind issues when I go to a sporting event here. Charging is not out of the question, but these are not professional sports teams we are watching either. $4 to park is a bit high in my opinion, but I guess they will have to find that out the hard way. Before you know it, they will probably start charging us to use the bathroom in the Alerus. Anything to make a few bucks.
  12. BisonMav I believe most of them support the move, but I'm sure there are a few who are not too thrilled about the notion, but have been told privately they had better not let their feelings be known to the public. I was very surprised to read those quotes from Coach Dalton. I guess some things are not as smooth as they looked to be.
  13. I believe Lucia belongs on the list, there is no doubt about that. I'm just tired of reading on INCH how he is the greatest coach to stand behind a hockey bench.
  14. Don Lucia is a great coach, but INCH's love affair with him is sickening. Their latest column makes him out to be Scotty Bowman or something.
  15. I bet the folks at UNC were not too pleased to hear those kind of remarks made for the public to hear. Do you think that there will be this kind of stuff coming from NDSU coaches? I'm not talking about football here either. Obviously Glas isn't thrilled with the idea at all and UND hasn't even made the decision to go.
  16. Really don't want to get into this again, but that professor believes that since he is black, he could get away with saying whatever he wants and that his race should make him more trustworthy and believeable in the eyes of Native Americans? lol, needed a good laugh this morning
  17. I'm not trying to incite anything, but if I were camping in line for a couple days in this cold overnight weather, there would not be many people budging in front of me without them getting at least a nice tongue lashing from myself and the people behind me.
  18. I don't care who steps up at the goalie position for the Sioux, I'm just sick of reading about the revolving door of goalies here at UND from the Enquirer, oops, I mean INCH.
  19. Anyone in Fargo been listening to the nightly sports like I have? Hallstrom called this game, "A bigger lopsided matchup than David vs. Goliath." Who is this guy kidding? Although they are not Grand Valley St., they are not the North Dakota School for the Blind. Will Hallstrom say this, when NDSU plays UND in the next couple years? I doubt it.
  20. Although I'll be at the Ralph to watch the game in person, do you think The Fighting Sioux Sports Network could flash to at least a carboard cutout of BC alum Doug Flutie every five minutes like ESPN during the 2000 title game? "There's a goal by Jason Ulmer to give the Sioux the lead, but look at Doug Flutie's reaction in the stands," said Jack Edwards.
  21. HKNTSMN - I apologize for sounding a bit harsh in my earlier posts. There just is an attitude in some of these threads that unless you bleed kelly green then your opinions are not welcome. I'm a huge fan, but when I see a weakness I have no problem pointing it out. Again, it was nothing personal with you or Mr. Ranfranz, just irritated me that because I questioned something, all of a sudden people were questioning my credentials. If that is the case, I would have no problem posting a resume that included professional employment history, along with anything else all of you wanted to know. Just as long as everyone else did.
  22. ScottM - I couldn't agree with you more. This same junk coming from the tabloid that said Karl Goehring was overrated.
  23. I've never annointed myself the title of "Mr. Know it all about WCHA Goaltending" like yourself. I'm a season ticket holder for many years and have never claimed to be an expert. Your post of Ranfranz being the best is not only hysterical, it is complete garbage.
