Sooooo, where's the scoring supposed to come from this year? Not really seeing much out of this game.

Some of the bonus success in the run game this year is that Santiago has strengthened his lower body quite a bit. Last year he'd go down almost immediately whenever someone got a hand on him. Yes, he could make people miss but the moment contact happened that would be it for the most part. This year, Santiago is breaking tackles and pulling a couple defenders for extra yards similar to how Brady does. I have less of a problem with Santiago up the gut this year as I did last year as he's shown he can pound it a bit more. Against UNC there were a couple runs with both JJ and Brady that you say, "You know, had that been #22 he'd be gone for a td."

That shot was beautiful, could not have been in a more perfect place.

That was a bumpkiss call on the hit in the endzone, there was still a chance to knock that ball out IMO. The roughing the passer I didn't see.

It's a safety thing. Too many bad things can happen without a helmet and it's not like someone losing their helmet isn't going to realize they don't have protection. It's a good rule.

I honestly didn't have a problem with the call. UNC is overloading the run on 3rd and short as evidenced by Brady not picking up the first on 3rd and 1. Wanzek was wide open and would have been an easy catch had the ball gotten out there. Ketteringham just has a bad habit of not stepping into that throw.

Also, looks to me that Ketteringham doesn't step into the quick outs. Wanzek was wide open for the first and the QB shortarms it.

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't mean your logic was flawed. I knew what you meant. I was talking the offensive philosophy Rudolph has shown in "get up a few touchdowns, clamp down on your playbook." You and I are on the same page regarding the throttle.

This logic is flawed to me. You keep your foot on the gas until there's almost no chance the other team can come back.

At this point, why would UNC even try to pass. They are completely destroying our run defense.

Any kind of spread running formation is destroying our d-line.

The color guys have been complaining the refs are coming back early out of the tv timeouts. Not sure if that's the only reason or not.

The UNC color guys are kinda hilarious.
