  1. Funny that DeBoer was the pick of the folks here. I really think we would have been more successful because he's much more innovative and would have fit better in a Big Sky league.
  2. There's a reason the spread offense has become so prevalent in college football, you're able to spread out a defense, force one on one matches, and pull safeties/linebackers away from the box so that you can run against an unstacked box. The i-form where you bring in a tight end (or two) and a H-back/fullback type, you run into a stacked boss where a defense can throw in bodies and muddle it up. Yes, you can block it perfectly and open a hole but I think you're making it easier on the defense.
  3. I find myself wondering what would have happened had we combined a Mussman called offense with a Bubba/Schmidt defense. I know it would never have happened but interesting to think about. Say what you will about Mussman's tenure, but he had some good offenses.
  4. At this point, bringing up the idea of scrapping the coaching staff is not a knee jerk reaction. They've had years to show us something but really it's not been much outside of a good game here or there. Rudolph is a terrible offensive coordinator and has shown nothing in developing QB's. Kostich might be a nice guy and a player's coach but the woes of the special teams are completely laughable and all comes back to scheme and preparation. Bubba has hitched his wagon to these guys and unfortunately they are pulling him down. There could be a role somewhere for Bubba in the alumni office but I think his time as the head coach needs to be over.
  5. Kostich should never again coach special teams for any collegiate team. He has been that bad. How Rudy got the OC job in the first place is beyond me. He has nothing on his resume to support being the OC for a FCS program, let alone D2.
  6. What gets me other than the ingame calls is the fact that this team does not improve over the course of a season. Ketteringham has actually regressed as the season goes along. Wanzek goes out, so he switches and focuses on Maag. Maag goes out and Kett can't complete barely any pass from then on.
  7. You know what, I can actually get on board with getting rid of Bubba at this point. How many years is he going to give an inept coaching staff?
  8. Playoffs are gone. Goodbye everyone.
  9. Yup, coaches have fucked this game away. Fire Rudolph, Fire Kostich, put Schmidt on notice.
  10. We need a sack or turnover, desperately.
  11. The Idaho linemen can hold with impunity because they know it won't be called.
  12. Holy crap these spots...
  13. That's a gods awful spot. They gave him an extra two yards. Remember that "no catch" earlier, they gave him progress where he first touched the ball this time around because obviously he caught it immediately.
  14. Evan Holm has a second gear, showed it on that strip sack
  15. I love when other teams' announcers call out our OC as well hahaha
  16. Officials missed a defensive hold, there's a reason the TE couldn't get to the ball
  17. Ok, just catch the punt or let it go. Please no more special teams screw ups
  18. To me it looked like ok defense. Ball went through McKinney's hands and then the defender put his hand in.
  19. That was actually a good pass on 3rd down, McKinney just couldn't catch it.
  20. And now Maag with a hammy. WTF, why can't we be healthy
  21. Loyalty can be a good thing, but there comes a point that you have to realize they don't really deserve the job.
  22. Fire Kostich. I don't care about his recruiting at this point, it's obvious special teams is probably the worst in the country.
  23. Serves the linebacker right, got kicked right in the jaw by Kett when he was trying to dive on him. And look, a punt block right on cue.
  24. Hahahaha, holding against us. I don't care it was a hold, but call the damn game both ways.
  25. JJ back out there briefly
