Not that anyone actually thought there was a chance of Driskel coming here but he is headed to Louisiana Tech.

I think most probably realize that Jones isn't going anywhere, at least not this year. But with that being said, who are some possible realistic candidates out there that could replace him in the future? Obviously we are not going to get Shaka Smart but I would try to get someone similar to him or from his coaching tree, someone that coaches an attacking defense.

Cakebread seems like one who may not end up on campus. Hasn't really been able to figure out the USHL yet but still only 17.

I agree it doesn't make sense why they would have pulled his redshirt but I don't think that means they don't intend to keep him in the program. If they really thought that, he would be gone already.

I believe so. I don't think he played at all this year and probably doesn't fit our offense very well as he doesn't seem very mobile but he put up some ridiculous numbers in high school but I don't have much of an eye for QB talent.

Most people seem to be on the Trey Anderson bandwagon at QB as a diamond in the rough. Hopefully we offer. I'm still a little salty about not offering Connor Wilkie last year. I was fully onboard that bandwagon.

So what are the odds at landing each of these guys: Fabbro, Jost, Boeser, Tkachuk and Matthews

Very small sample. Played 11 mins in the game against Marquette. The biggest difference between him and Calc and Salmonson is that Shanks is only a freshman. He also apparently is able to shoot a little bit beings he attempted two three-pointers against Marquette. It would be nice if he can bulk up but I don't see him adding a whole lot.

We have to get him. Also, I know the assumption is that Maurice's tweet was about Ja'Won Arrington but any chance it is about Kyree Hollis? I didn't see him on UAB's actual roster but believe he went there and he is following a bunch of different UND coaches.

So do we still have one available scholarship? Should have four coming in next year so far and five leaving with Antwi, Salmonson, Calcaterra, Nash and Stefan (if he is even with the team anymore).

I would think that we would need to get another QB in this class other than the Rugby kid. Seems like we have had a lot of QBs not stick around very long here other than the 3 soon to be juniors (assuming they stick around).

I think anybody who has watched any games coached by Jones has realized from the beginning that he is not necessarily head coaching material. He has never seemed to "outcoach" the opposing coach. Very rarely do we see him make adjustments. I appreciate some of the recruiting he has done but he just doesn't seem to have that head coaching material like I said.
