    2016 Season

Believe he is a walk on
  2. Not sure on the rules, but I believe Bubba said he had applied. Having Clive back for another season (hopefully a full/healthy season) would be incredible.
  3. After last weekend, I will not be adjusting my predictions right before the kickoff. That clearly did not work last week, and cause too tight of a game. Really hoping Santiago finally hits a HR ball. Birds 38 Cats 24
  4. I'd really like to see Santiago finally hit a HR ball this week. I'm sure he has been more anxious for one than the fans. Maybe if he gets one, the floodgates will open and we'll see a few more.
  5. Yo Stech, you mad bro?
  6. Parker Rickert from Edina. I know some people on here had mentioned him in the past. Not sure how seriously he was ever being looked at, or if UND was ever in his wheelhouse.
  7. Does anyone know if Rickert has made a visit to UND, or if he plans to?
  8. Landing Mafe in addition to Ott would be completely ridiculous. I really hope UND can do it. If they can, I think we are set at DE, but would really like to see more O-line. Coaches did a really nice job finding Grady and a few others, and unfortunately we lost 3 or 3 guys that would have been studs. Hope the coaches just keep at it. So impressed with what they are doing. I've said it before but when I was in Fargo tailgating with family (of course sporting my UND apparel), people told me they heard nothing but great things about Bubba and what he was doing. One of the UND player's uncles said his nephew absolutely loved playing for Bubba and had great things to say. Pretty pumped for where we are now and were we will be in a few years.
  9. I wish I could go, but I'll be screaming from my couch. Beat Weber! I'll of course be screaming for hockey too! Beat the puppies!
  10. Subban is getting the start, which is a good. It means I can cheer for the Wild to completely shell the Bruins. Subban can get pulled, and McIntyre can play a really solid 3rd period.
  11. So I should reword ... He's just had too few of those funny cigarettes. haha
  12. He's just had a few too many of those funny cigarettes.
  13. End of argument. Boom, Lawyered.
  14. Haha, I'd have though the gal on the right would have a virgina slim in her mouth and a schlitz in her hand.
  15. I'm not saying turn it into a drunk crazy fest. Not all frats are the Animal House stereotype. I would say most houses are not quite that stereotype, though every house may have a few poor examples within it. Just saying it is one way you could get people involved and try to ramp up attendance. I could be way off, but I'll be if you head to SEC country, greek communities are much more involved in tailgating and gameday activities. Another reason I wish you could bring football back to campus, especially right where Memorial stadium is. You have a big parking lot for tailgating. You can do an easy park and ride from the Ralph over. You have University Ave right there for when there are parades. You have all of the greek houses there that can have their own event right on their front lawns. It would be a pretty sweet college atmosphere.
  16. Hang the Banner!!!
  17. Need to tap back into that crowd. Like I said, its a fairly substantial number of students. Maybe you give each out a tailgating spot, or a discounted tailgating spot. Create some tailgating competitions (Best Tailgate spot, Greek Tailgate Relay, whatever....) something to get them there in numbers and get them hooked. Maybe it wouldn't work, but it might be worth a shot. You already have a greek council that could team up with the athletics department to try to get it goin.
  18. Some sort of volunteer student committee actually wouldn't be a terrible idea. At least you could guage how to get more students there, and get them hooked on some winning football. I think they should really tap into the greek community. Thats a lot of kids right there, and if you can make it appealing to a solid base of them, more will follow.
  19. Junior Latu
  20. Don't know Jay Hill, but I already don't like him because of this. I'm sure after UND beats Weber this weekend, Rand will have something to say about how Weber was playing injures, or UND should have had more penalties, or the little old lady in section 201 was too loud.
  21. For the win!
  22. Could not agree with you more. I'm not a fan of the new name or logo, but it does seem to work ok for football. Still not as good as the classic ND, but not terrible either. I also think if they put the logo on both sides of the helmet they should flip it so its facing forward on both sides. I don't really mind the letters, but I'm sure improvements, adjustments and alternatives will come out over the next few years.
  23. So pumped for Saturday! Big time game, and time for UND to take care of business. These are the kinds of situations this program has been waiting to be in. A lot of the stat categories are pretty comparable between these teams. I think UND needs to focus on three things: Establishing the run - Weber St. does not have a great run D, but Idaho St wasn't supposed to either, and they did a pretty nice job, especially in the first half. I have to imagine last weekend, woke up the offensive line a but. Hopefully Stockwell is feeling better, as it was really nice camera work to get him puking on the field. Also, need to be getting all of these RBs plenty of carries. Gordon has, more than, earned his time on the field. Time of Possession - This goes hand in hand with running the ball. The key being we need to sustain drives. I believe it was the first of second drive of the 2nd half against Idaho St, when the (somewhat obnoxious) announcers, made a pretty big deal about UND having a roughly 8 minute drive. That kind of time will be crucial in giving our D a rest. Especially against another passing team, who "could" sustain some drives themselves. Turnover Battle - Pretty clean game last weekend, I don't think either of Keaton's INT's this year have been poor throws, but have been deflected by the receivers. Not worried about him, also the RBs have done a better job of holding onto the ball. I was really surprised we didn't get any takeaways against Idaho St. given their turnover issues, but credit to them, they played a pretty clean game. I expect Weber's passing game and the addition a Reyes back into the lineup to create a few more turnovers this weekend. Would really like to hear Deion's name called after such a hot start early in the season. If Weber is going to mimic Idaho St's 3 step drops and quick passes, I'd like to see our corners jump a few routes .... especially with Reyes in to cover on the back end. 38 -24 UND!!! 24. I didn't make it up, its from a meme or a t shirt or something. Regardless, Chuck Norris is pretty bad@$$
  25. ugh, I was really hoping to forget that game, but it keeps coming up. I believe Gerbe had a hat trick by the second period and 4 goals in the game. Terrible game in the terrible stretch of years that BC had our number.
