  1. Given we have already beat Cal-Poly, I hope they win the rest of those games. Seeing the beat EWU would really be great, as well as having MT be EWU. I'm hoping NAU can pull the upset against the griz this weekend. If MT lost 2, and EWU lost 3, AND UND finished undefeated in the Big Sky, we will have a really good chance at a nice seed. Long ways to go before that, but its fun to speculate.
  2. How is Rickert's speed? Anyone know? I know some people on here have been very high on him.
  3. Agreed, we need more recruits outside of DL, but from what I've read, if you can get a guy like Mafe (especially in addition to Ott) you take him. That would be a pretty dominant class at that position. And you never know if you will be able to hold on to Ott for sure, if the Goofs come calling.
  4. Good to know. Ya never know with these kids. There is always the dream to play for the big local program, but you never know what else he may be looking for in the recruiting process. He would be a great steal. Too bad there isn't a hockey game that weekend. I know its completely unrelated to football, and i'm not sure if they bring all the football players to hockey games or not, but I still thinks its a good entertainment/recruiting tool for the kids. I think it would be even better if the Alerus could match the production that the Ralph does.
  5. Very well may end up at MN, but I haven't seen anything on a commitment yet. Hopefully the coaches are still recruiting him pretty hard.
  6. Could be concerns over his previous injury. Not sure why any other schools wouldn't take a flyer on the kid, with such talent.
  7. Anyone know if UND is planning on having many recruits at the Weber game? I know there were quite a few against SUU. I was hoping to hear for another few committs.
  8. Agreed. You want to be the best, you have to beat the best. Since we don't get decide the conference schedule, we just need to continue to win, but playing MT or EWU would certainly add to the credibility of what UND is doing this season. I think playing those top tier teams also prepares the team better for the playoffs. Next year UND should be even more experienced, and we have both MT and EWU on the schedule. It will be a tough schedule.
  9. until they beat Eastern this weekend
  10. Can't imagine Ott is coming in on the O-Line. He is 6-3 225, and currently listed at OLB and DE. I'd imagine that's what he'll play at UND. Pretty exciting stuff with this kid though.
  11. Thanks for the update on Boltmann. As an Eden Prairie Alum, I just saw that EP has 4 straight shutouts, with 5 on the season. Makes me wonder if there aren't some playmakers that UND could find in that bunch, that aren't going elsewhere. I also found the 247sports list for top recruits from MN. Plenty of UND on there, but also plenty of undecided players. http://247sports.com/Season/2017-Football/CompositeRecruitRankings?State=MN
  12. I don't dislike Nanne as much as I used to. His opinions are usually fairly reasonable. I think anyone could looks at those last few games and say UND didn't play their best hockey (score aside). We put up goals, but did not play as clean our fluid as we will later in the season. I've heard him speak highly of UND at times as well, so I don't think his opinions are usually unwarranted. Bias or not, the guy knows hockey. We'll see what his opinion is after the UND/MN series.
  13. Wish UND could find a way to negotiate all football games (not on Roots Sports) and all hockey games, home and away, (not on CBS) to be on Fox College Sports. That would be amazing.
  14. I'll admit, I'm glad to hear others have had problems too. I was thinking it was just my computer. Hopefully they have this fixed ASAP. Also would like to see that Roku app out by the end of the month, as the whole reason I bought a Roku was to watch NCHC hockey. Won't need it as much the second half of the season as so many games are on TV.
  15. This whole situation has the makings of a pretty awesome political cartoon. Just ridiculous.
  16. Works for me. I didn't know if the committee put much stock into where a team was at the time they are beat. Meaning if, and that a big IF, Weber could sneak into the top 25 .... we could hopefully add a top 25 win to our resume, since our resume doesn't have too many ranked opponents. On the flip side, would the committee care if you beat a team before they are ranked. USD? Hopefully I'm explaining my question right. I know some other message boards really look at the ranking of the opponent at the time they play them.
  17. Right, but as a UND fan, who would we prefer to win that one. I would assume Weber, so that when we play them, they would be considered a tougher opponent.
  18. Catching a game winning TD in Frisco kind of secret weapon?

    2016 Season

For what its worth, UND has had 3 top ten FCS plays in the past 3 weeks, with two of them being ranked number 1. Thats pretty cool recognition, and who'd have though UND would have 3 highlight plays at this point in the year with all of them coming through the air. Becoming a much more balanced team. Week 5 vs. Cal Poly http://www.ncaa.com/video/football/2016-09-27/fcs-football-top-plays-week-four #10 Studs to Stanley for 70 yards #1 Studs to Wanzek Week 7 vs SUU http://www.ncaa.com/video/football/2016-10-18/fcs-football-top-plays-week-seven #1 Studs to Stanley off the bad snap
  20. Does anyone know which scenario would help UND more, if either. Weber @ Souther Utah Would it be better to see SUU (A team we just smoked, beat Weber) or would it be better for Weber to beat SUU .... hopefully sneak into the top 25, and give us a chance to beat a top 25 team next week. I don't actually think winning this game would be enough for Weber to get in to top 25, but maybe? Either, just another talking point for this weekend .... leading up to Revenge is a dish best served cold (Part Two): UND vs. Weber I suppose it would be better to see Weber win, so we would have a shot at a 5-2 team (4-0 conf). Thoughts?
  21. INJURY REPORT vs. IDAHO STATE SS 8 Cole Reyes (questionable) LB 32 Taj Rich (questionable) LB 38 Dijon Murray (questionable) NG 77 Steve Greer (questionable) WR 81 Luke Stanley (questionable)
  22. I wasn't impressed with Rudolph early on, I though it was way to predictable, and he under utilized some talent. However, it is apparent, how much better the coordinating looks, when the players are executing what is called. Rudolph still needs to should some of the blame for what was going on at the beginning of the season, but it definitely looks like there was enough blame to go around. O Line, QB play, Play calling .... doesn't matter now, as they appear to be clicking on all cylinders.
