  1. No, I most definitely don't believe in that crap but that's what's being espoused in many public schools--I don't know about North Dakota, though. Thanks for your concern & thanks for your reply.
  2. This wasn't reported in the Wednesday night recap of the coach's show. Who are your sources?
  3. Just put some duct tape over her mouth or get some ear plugs. Problem solved.
  4. I expect incompetent leadership from my elected officials but I draw the line at hockey refs!
  5. I sure hope it's better than last weekend: Tim H: "And*buffer*Parise*buffer*passes*buffer*to a*buffer*streaking*buffer*Bochenski*buffer*who takes*buffer* a*buffer*wick..*buffer*..ed slap*buffer*shot*buffer*and*buffer* Briggs*buffer*makes an*buffer*amazing*buffer*toe*buffer*save!" Took about :30 for TH to say a short sentence...
  6. Speaking of which, USCHO WCHA Correspondent Todd Milewski dedicated a segment of his weekly piece to officiating. It sounds like WCHA refs are feeling the heat from not just Sioux fans but from many places: WCHA officiating
  7. Hey, thanks a lot, Jim. Appreciate it.
  8. I recently tried to upload a new avatar from my computer but got an error message along the lines that "this board has been disabled" or something to that effect. I was wondering if it has been disabled for some reason or if I'm maybe doing something wrong. I'm following the same procedure as last year when I did this successfully. Thanks.
  9. Like Tiger Woods is doing for golf. I imagine the # of minorities, particularly Blacks, would skyrocket if there were a superstar who also happened to have a 'fro...
  10. I'd introduce her if I knew her name--"Sex Goddess" would be my guess. I post here not to share ideas or make relevant points (which I rarely do anyway) but to share her immense beauty with one & all .
  11. It's difficult sometimes to put a positive spin on the weather. I've lived in Phoenix going on 10 years & I still haven't gotten used to the extremely hot summers--from late April to late September it's brutal & it rarely dips below 100 deg. for daytime highs. You just don't have a lot of energy when it's 110, 111 day after day after day... I grew up in GF the first 23 years of my life & I would take the freezing cold anyday. But on the flip side, the winters here are beautiful: from October to March it's like Heaven on earth with temps ranging from 60-70 in the daytime. I agree, though, about the attitude part; maybe I should buy some kind of Zen weather book.
  12. Thx for the UAH link, Jim, "used" it to further the Bochenski cause; for some reason I get more pleasure from using their link than the one here. More votes, yes, but more votes for a lot of different players instead of the focused effort at UAH where they have ballot stuffing galore for ONE player.
  13. Oops, you beat me to the punch, Diggler. If some of them do come here, it would probably be someone who: 1) doesn't post on the weekends (obviously); 2) has under 1,000 posts--probably under 500 for that matter--which excludes my presumption that Redwing was a power forward for the green & white ; 3) vehemently hates the Gophers (which is 99% of us); 4) defends the team & rarely, if ever, criticizes their performance; 5) whose username is a certain player (maybe). Who knows, I'm just bored & curious
  14. Just click the "quote" button at the top of each post. It would be interesting to know if some of those players debate here. Probably, I would think. Anyhoo, thx Pat!!
  15. CRR, The site says one can cast 1 vote/day per e-mail address. I just voted for the 2nd time. I suppose that if one has dozens of Yahoo! e-mail addresses that they could skew the results. I think it would be pretty obvious if someone were doing this--especially for a no-name.
  16. That's what 90% of the college hockey world is asking. He's an overhyped player from a weak conference who scores most, if not all, of his points against low-grade competition. Bochenski, Parise, Murray & a # of Sioux forwards would eat him for lunch.
  17. I agree, as compared to whites of African or Asian descent
  18. Nice to be back. Been a little preoccupied with defending my home against illegal aliens, door-2-door salesmen & extraterrestrials: .....but that's under control now so I can focus my attention on Sioux hockey Thanks for missing my avatar--my wife sure didn't! Also mastered myin prep for your weekly Wednesday recaps.
  19. PC gained rapid momentum 20 years ago & we're still in its death-grip. People thought it was funny at first with its new terms like "sanitation engineer" instead of garbage man, "developmentally disabled" instead of mentally retarded, "undocumented" instead of illegal & other quaint euphemisms that either alter or completely substitute new meanings for old. Ha ha giggle giggle. Words are thoughts/ideas & when professors in their ivory towers & leftist-media elites dictate what is & isn't appropriate for the majority of us I'm pi$$ed & so should others be. Regarding those students in Omaha: If any of you have children in the public school system, I would highly recommend you keep tabs on what they're being taught. A radical restructuring of our free system of government is being propagated in our schools under the guise of the new Civics. It isn't patriotism, it isn't traditional history and it isn't freedom. The federal government has invested heavily in teaching that which is undermining our heritage of freedom to the world, whether they know it or not. Pay close attention. Don't fall for the nice- sounding propaganda. Thanks, Pat.
  20. Phoenix topped 60 with fair skies, a slight breeze & no snow...didn't see anyone wearing parkas or boots but I did see a couple hotties in tight shirts & even tighter shorts. Oh well, I'll try to put up with these miserable conditions a while longer.
  21. And goalie Kevin Weekes (Carolina?). I think he's a brother but am not sure.
  22. And tough guy Donald Brashear (sp)
  23. "0" implies they have a hockey program but just haven't won anything yet, like SCSU, etc. I think the more accurate equation is 7> Just my
  24. So that player fell victim to Ronald McDonald? Imagine him calling his mom that night, "Yeah, Mom, I was going hard into the boards & just leveled one of their guys, but I also twisted my foot & will be out of the line-up for a few weeks." Yeah, uh huh...you got your ass whupped by a billboard
