  1. I wouldn't doubt this. Finley is waiting regardless of UND's stance until he finds out more of the fall out of the end of the lockout
  2. I just dont trust that the officials can make the right call if it is close. After all, they did so well in calling Chucko's kicked in goals.
  3. I thought the BCHL was Junior A? Or is Junior A another term for Major Juniors?
  4. I heard he was leaning towards Major juniors.
  5. He'll be playing right away.
  6. HA! The day they replace the sandpaper from the tp rolls around campus is the day Kupchella takes a job selling dipping dots at the Ralph.
  7. I heard UND had the inside track and that he could very well sign by the end of July. However, this rumor is very unsubstantiated and I am not exactly sure how reliable the source I heard this from is. I think it is 'wait and see' type thing. I wouldn't doubt that Finley's decision could wait beyond the two weeks quoted until the CBA is signed and Joe watches what happens with Greene and/or Smaby before making a decision, if he is indeed interested in attending UND.
  8. Well, I'm not THAT bad of a person. I want him no longer in the WCHA period. I don't want him dead.
  9. My vote is Mike Prpich on that picture. It either looks like 19 (Prpich) or 13 (Marvin) but I definitely think this is Mike Prpich doing the hitting.
  10. Something that bothers me is that a lot of the rule changes depends upon the discretion of the referee. Knowing the refs in this league, they only see it as "on" and "off" or in other words "It's a definite penalty" and "It's not a penalty" The worst rule change I heard will forever now be known as the Chucko rule. With the new rule, any puck deflected off of the skate and into the net will count provided there is no clear kicking motion to send the puck into the net. No way can a ref decide that it was kicked in when the players are going that fast unless it is blatently obvious (and even then, some of the refs wouldn't recognize it). The only way to save this rule from becoming horendous is to install instant replay on any deflection goal. And that will prolong the game. Goalie rules aren't really that bad. The Michigan rule suggest just blows if you are a defensively minded team. But, it will make Michigan even more dominant looking in those exhibition games. Oh well. A question on the hitting from behind rule change, does this mean every time a defenseman or forward pins a player along the boards and then pushes his mask into the glass going to be a major penalty?
  11. I admit that I'm basing this on something other than a back injury, but where there's a will there's a way. If he looked hard enough, perhaps he could find a physician who would sign the papers. Bear in mind that I'm not saying he would do that or that he should. I'm saying that there are people out there who might do whatever it is the patient wants within reason. And HockeyMom- I agree. If the physicians do sign off on him, I hope for the best too.
  12. You know, as silly as this sounds, anything that gets Greg ousted, be it by us or by them, is gotta be good for the league.
  13. I didn't get the impression that it was as optimistic as most are taking it. Sure, Robbie wants to play why wouldn't he? But I just can't see him playing this season and I hope he doesn't push it. I'd rather have it being said that he could have played part of last season than I came back too early and I paid the price.
  14. Kelly Kapowski: Rowrrr!!!
  15. Specifically speaking, you're right. Technically speaking, FSN is their own channel. After all, the slogan is "Where Minnesota fans come first." And about that Minnesota chant, yeah, it's lame. However, believe it or not, North Dakota has its own version of that chant. Neither of which I want to hear much of to tell the truth.
  16. I can't find the article. Damn it. I KNOW it's there. Can someone help?
