  1. Cause nothing. Pink ice is a BAD idea.
  2. NO! Go tOSU!!!!!!!!!!! SLU got swept so that's good news.
  3. Let's go Sioux! Good shot by Lee, better save by Zaba. This PP is shooting the puck. This is a good thing.
  4. In sagard's comparison of TUCs and PWR changes that are beneficial to the Sioux, here's what he said to do: Bad news: Fairbanks won (upset Miami), SCSU won, Ferris won, BU won, and DU was inactive. Good news: Michigan, CC, and SLU lost last night. sagard and you math wizards could probably figure out how this affects the Sioux in that manner.... or is that what got us to 11th?
  5. Yeah. He's a pretty darn good keyboard player who knows what he's doing musically. He's caught up in a band currently that is just loud. At least he isnt in a band of pot heads like he used to be.
  6. Bah. Let bygones be bygones. At least he had the integrity to apologize.
  7. These balloons are yet another thing that can bring down a crop duster. And then, when a balloon does go down (with the crop duster) cell phone users will get so pissed off that their call got dropped just when they were getting to the useless, but entertaining gossip, that they'll slam their car into the nearest obstacle.
  8. Does this include changing onto the power play or penalty kill? What happens if there is a misconduct? Will you know which way is up at the end of the first period?
  9. Yeah. But my best friend still thinks he's in a band. Well, he is, but he's not going to "make it."
  10. I made two people's night with that comment.
  11. Gosh, I'd love to trade that 4th goal in to start up 1-0 tommorrow night.
  12. I'd make the argument that they SHOULD have beat BC. BC played like they thought Mercyhurst was a token team. I think their coach is actually quite decent and they got a few players that really can play.
  13. Bah. Didn't know you were kidding. Seriously, though, I think it is funny how serious they are taking themselves in this bad. It's like my best friend's last band where they said they were going to "make it" and started to learn covers to play. It failed.
  14. What about UNH? They benched 7 players, including their what... top 3 scoring forwards? If they won tonight, I'd get close to crapping my pants and have a REAL hard time not flaming our brother school in Orono.
  15. I think it is really sad that these kids all worked their butts off to get where they are only to have a player who may have been dishonest (more like his parents were the culprits) and have it all ruined. The good news, if you will, is that, though they lose their #1 status for the regular season, their overall record (including the games forfeited) count towards their playoff seed. So, yeah, they go from first to last place regular season, but if they keep winning, they'll realistically end up with a last place regular season record and a #1 overall playoff seed. At least, that's how I understand it.
  16. No, that's what everyone is yelling at the people standing closest to Ed Schultz!
  17. Maybe so, but Lucia's claim that basically, wherever there's a fight, there's a Sioux player involved isn't very classy, IMO. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt otherwise. I don't want to get into a flame fest, but Buckysucks, if Lucia is the definition of class, then you certainly could take a page out of his book. Insinuating that a program like UND is down and out is just not classy on a SIOUX message board. It's like calling us the Sue or the Susies or the Siouxsies or the Fighting "Halos." Not respectful at all. You could have just said "I can understand how frustrated you must feel with some upsetting losses this year. I've been there with the Gophers myself" or something to that effect, but you didn't. Instead, you attack us. Has Lucia made mistakes handling the character issues with the team (the gloating on ice, the off ice debacles, etc.)? I don't know. I really don't know what goes on at the "U." But saying that "Your program is dirtier than ours and you're just saying ours is dirty because you are jealous/frustrated at your team's performance and need to lash out to make yourself feel better" isn't classy at all.
  18. When Drew Stafford leaves UND, do you think Red Seal Peach (or whatever) will be a priority for him? Sorry, but at most 2 years down the line (more like after this season) Red Seal Peach will cease to exist because Stafford will have a new address.... Rochester, NY.
  19. I agree with spfreak on Kozek. The problem with Kozek is that he's not getting much ice time. Not only that, he and Watkins have had their share of horrible luck when it comes to shots on goal. I believe Watkins actually should have potted 3 before his first actual goal if it weren't for some flat out bad luck. Kozek will adjust. Many do not fare well their first year in a new system. Also, Kozek isn't getting nearly the ice time that he got with his BCHL team.
  20. Heh, I love that. You come here asking us for tickets and implying that our team sucks too much to make the Regionals. You know, there's a line at ticketmaster for the tickets. Best get in line now to beat the rest of the Gopher faithful who isn't in line yet. Good luck.
  21. I think I can one-up these people who know Dean Wilson. You see... he was my PE teacher one year back at Fargo South (or was he still at Agassiz at the time) Anyways it was either 8th grade PE or 9th grade PE that I had him as a teacher. To be honest, I never had more fun in gym with him as a teacher. Conversely, he wasn't the kind of guy who showed much empathy towards anyone that wasn't a jock. Now, it wasn't as bad as coaches are percieved in movies (jocks rule, everyone else do laps), it was far more subtle. Mainly in the area of teasing and bullying. I was teased mercilessly, a few times right in front of him. When I brought this up he told me to "act like a man and stand up to him." Well, I was 5'3" maybe 120 pounds at the time. THe guy I was to "stand up to" was closer to 6' tall and I don't know how many pounds. He was a jock. He played linebacker. Do you think I'd last long? So, no, he's not a people person, but he knows what he's doing when it comes to athletics.
  22. Everywhere I go, George W. seeps in somewhere.
  23. Ok. Apology accepted as far as my end is concerned.
  24. Just like I love listening to all of the Gopher fans coming in and campaigning to SIOUX fans to root for the GOPHERS. I mean, if I went to GPL and campaigned to the masses there that the SIOUX are the team to root for, surely you'd take me seriously. Or maybe I should go to GPL and rant about how awesome TJ Oshie is and how he has a legitamite chance of stealing Rookie of the Year honors from Kessel. I mean, surely if Oshie wore maroon and gold, you'd agree with me! Get a grip on yourself.
  25. I agree. The policy is invalid regardless of what it is. The NCAA isn't an institution of social change. It regulates collegiate athletics. If it doesn't have to do with how collegiate sports is run, gender issues, and academic and athletic eligibility guidelines, then it isn't the NCAA's business. Not that I'd like it to happen, but if the NCAA has a problem with these 18 schools, then perhaps they should contact the ACLU or the Civil Rights Authority and file a complaint. They are out of their jurisdiction here. Franklin and Brand are getting dillusions of grandeur. They see the likes of Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks and they feel left out, so they dreamt this up with help from a crazy, embittered SCSU president and a few other jokers.
