Just got home and found out Don Adam is the official tonight. My thoughts and prayers go to the players on the ice. Let's hope he doesn't injure someone tonight or tommorrow. So far though, I don't know if that will happen. On the radio, it seemed like 1 full minute of uninterrupted play is a rarity.

Too bad Jim Kleinsasser can't play WITH the best players in the land.

If you go into the Former Players thread, you can look and find that David Hale is out with an eye injury. EDIT: And no offense, but I'm glad Pittsburgh didn't draft Toews. I'm not altogether pleased that Chicago drafted him either. But then again, New Jersey can't trade up for every top player (Oh and before anyone comments, no, the Red Wings wouldn't draft Toews either. He doesn't hail from Sweden )

I'm guessing that they will rotate. From reading in between the lines on PCM's recap, I think Friday will be Bishop-Genoway-Miller and Saturday will be Bishop-Genoway-Vandevelde (or some combination). If Miller doesn't play on Friday, I'd expect to see him play on Saturday. Same thing for Vandevelde. Maybe Martens will make an appearance? Who knows.

Agree to disagree it is, DaveK. 15-17 is still a losing record. And not making the bowl game bid because there are too many bowls is a new excuse to me. I will give you the fact that 15-17 is better than 4-28. 15-17 is just slightly worse than mediocre while 4-28 is just flat out sucking. So, I was wrong. The Gophers aren't mediocre, but they've gotten awfully close to obtaining that mark since Mason took control. But really, when you depend upon teams like Indiana (and that's not always a given) to win your conference games against, it's rather sad. It's also sad that a choke-worthy Michigan team ala last season was still good enough to beat the Gophers. I'd even wager to say over the past 4 years, Minnesota wasn't even competitive with the top Big 10 schools. Heck, I can't remember the last time they were! Mason's defense is so good that their 250 lb. DTs can't run and their linebackers aren't athletic and undersized... oh! And they can't tackle. And that's just DEFENSE! Offensively, Cupito is an average QB, but at least he isn't as bad as the Gopher D. The Running Back situation is sad. Their WRs are basically a one man show (Payne? I can't remember his name for some reason). One of their WRs is so good that you can throw to him 20 times and you MIGHT get 10 receptions out of it... even if there is no defensive coverage! This team is just BAAAAD. Oh and thanks for justifying my position regarding post season success. In other words, in recent history, the Gophers have yet to compete in a post season berth that means something. Liberty Bowl, Insight, Music City... all worthless bowl bids. And this team is supposedly respectable? Please.

Part of me is happy that Mario committed to NMU. It seems like he left everyone hanging. UND, Red Deer... heading to NMU seems like a good fit for him because he can be with his brother there for more than one year. Now we can go after a guy like Riley Nash, Jason Gregoire, or others that are mentioned without having to worry about whether or not Mario's slot will be taken by Mario.

Not if you are the program itself. All it does is get you in the news. Their School President is a joke (all hot air) and the players are just getting a slap on the wrist and a "Shame on you" lecture. If you want to see what a real school does when something bad like this happens, look at FIU. They basically ransacked the team and said "Not in this house!" The coach went before the media and condemned the act. It doesn't make things right, sure, but at least that's a response that says "This school means business when it comes to malfiescence such as this." Miami is a joke program that doesn't even have the excuse of "We're playing great football" anymore.

I agree with that sentiment. I think stick salutes are neat. The Bell ringing thing is very cool. Do they still do that?
