  1. Why and how would she be keeping a light house? Wouldn't that endanger ships in the fog? ADD: Wouldn't that kinda defeat the whole idea of staying inconspicuous?
  2. My only question is where is the toothpick located while he's taped to the post? Hopefully not in the mouth of a teammate?
  3. Horsecrap, PCM! You don't know what you are talking about! You need one of THESE beauties to truly make your gamer dreams come true. Connect it to perhaps a 13 inch TV and Voila. You can play Lode Runner, Bubble Bobble, Peanut Butter Panic (hilarious), Sub Hunter, and so on!
  4. That's why I'm in such a quandry. I'm anti-fighting in the NCAA. Yet you must be on some bad drugs if you think the officials will step up and do their jobs. With two officials on the ice, one would THINK mugging of players altogether would decrease. Really, the only thing that will decrease is 5 on 5 hockey time. THat's why I keep saying, Hak and crew need to develop 4 PK lines and work on all the permutations. They must prepare to have about a period's worth of PK time a game. It is going to be UGLY.
  5. Yeah, I can see the point being made about leaving before he's even played, but I can't see the logic in Radke sitting. Sure, if he commits stupid penalties or doesn't practice/play well, I'd expect him to sit, but I expect him to start the year playing. Kozek is fiesty and Finley is feisty and huge. However, Kaip and Radke are kings when it comes to going nose to nose with opposing aggravaters (can't really call them enforcers or really even instigators as fighting isn't allowed). I don't know who will play and who will sit this upcoming season. I really like the fact that Davidson is 6'4" tall. I can't remember (faulty memory) the last FORWARD we had at that height. If he really can be effective in front of the net and in the corners, all the better.
  6. I thought he was being brought in on scholarship. Now I heard it phrased exactly like that. I doubt it is a full year scholarship, but still a scholarship no less.
  7. True enough, but.... Todd Alexander wasn't a poor player and I don't expect Davidson to be that bad either. I just think he's going to go through the year, learn a lot, work hard and at the end of the year (meaning season) decide what is best for him. If he turns into a Prpich or Henderson, GREAT! But I am saying that if things don't exactly pan out, I dont think he'll be another Martens, Foyt, or Marvin and simply stick around for the odd chance to chip in. He will be 21 in december.
  8. I think the theme to that wedding was "Just Shoot Me Already" Or perhaps this is the REAL "Shotgun Wedding"
  9. Probably going to get flamed for this but.... What's keeping Davidson from being another Todd Alexander? He may very well not crack the lineup at all this season and, seeing that how many quality recruits we have coming in, take up that hockey schollie at U. of Windsor.
  10. Next time on Ordinary Joe...
  11. SIoux Crew? Come on, Diggler, you're old enough to remember the first (Well, the Pharce doesn't really count) incarnation: Gang Green!!!!
  12. Yeah, hate the Gophers or love em, you HAVE to admit that Chucko got screwed.
  13. I don't think Lasch is European, unless you consider California to be part of Europe.
  14. Here's my early prediction: I think Fink, Cichy, GLeason, Kristo, and Toews will ALL be drafted somewhere between the 1st and 7th rounds.
  15. That would be a pretty small first line. Yeah, Miller was injured his freshman year, but even his sophomore year he was pushed around a bit. Although there are plenty of reasons why VV won't be on the first line, VV offers size, quality in the faceoff circle, and a great passer to boot. Miller, if anything, could center the fourth line again. Like I said earlier, I have no problem with 3 scoring lines.
  16. Is there a chance of four red dots returning to mark the center of 4 of those circles? I feel that those dots really helped the players and officials to figure out where the puck is to be dropped.
  17. Kaip and Radke are enforcers if you want to call them that. I was thinking of making the fourth line into a 3rd scoring line. I don't know if that is necessarily wise to go with 3 scoring lines and 1 checking line, but that was my reasoning.
  18. I expect Hextall to pick up where Kaip leaves off.
  19. I just don't know who will center the fourth line. Watkins and Kaip have played Center at one point. Maybe it will go like this: Oshie VV Duncan Forney Watkins Kozek Zajac Kaip Malone Frattin Trupp Radke/Miller I know putting Frattin or Trupp on the 4th line is pretty weak and I'm sure Trupp would fit well on the first or second line, but We ALWAYS do better with 4 scoring lines and that MIGHT be the answer. And yeah, I know about Kozek. He'll turn things around. I know it. And having guys who can pass like Forney will help.
  20. If he's not going to be given the chance to be constructive, just blindly ridiculed regardless of what he posts, then what is going to motivate him to actually be constructive? Right now, there's nothing motivating bucky to do anything more than troll. Think about it. ================================================================= Back on topic: I agree with Goon. Losing Briggs will not be a big loss. Losing Goligoski will be a bigger loss, but even that I'd argue won't be all that bad for the Gophers. Why? Because they have a TON of defensemen just like Goli, like Peltier and Fairchild, and so on. What will hurt them isn't even the inexperience, as it was noted, there's potentially going to only be two freshmen on D next year. What will hurt them is that they don't really have a shut down physical defensive specialist on the blue line that can be consistent AND effective. Fischer could develop into it, but he was spotty. Schack was scary bad at times but has the size for it. What it is going to amount to is controlling the Gopher passing game and keeping them out of our zone as much as possible. If we do that, we should be able to beat the Gophers. They are going to be explosive offensively, but we will be nearly as explosive offensively and much more physical and and a sold defensive structure in front of our net. The Gophers are going to be scary fast. Their big forwards in Stoa, Fisher, and perhaps WHeeler will make things interesting in front of our net. However, the Gophers like to do a lot of long passing and finesse moves to try to produce pretty goals. If we can contain that, they wll lose. One last thing: Keep the Gophers off the powerplay. But then again, playing smarter has never hurt any team against any opponent.
  21. They have Brian "As Mobile as a" Schack.
  22. How about news on Toews? Is Jon going to come back for his Junior Year?
  23. Is your golf swing so good that it would be noticably worse if there was no left arm?
  24. So was Lee..... Frankly, I like Radke, but I have no idea where he fits into this whole thing. He is a gritty player. He might fit into one of those rough and tumble types in the corners (didn't really notice either way last season).
