  1. Right. Logos and names that have been around for, well...ever. UND chose a NEW nickname, if you would read what I wrote. The company isn't going to suggest to keep an old completely unrelated logo for a new nickname/marketing campaign. How hard is this to understand?
  2. Very similar to what I stated. Money not even an objective of the legacy collection. For some reason I have a feeling the "ND" makes a comeback sometime down the road.
  3. What do they make, a thousand bucks or so? They sold so little that the money had very, very little to do with it.
  4. The point I tried to make earlier was that UND probably could have kept the "ND", yes. But, it wasn't going to be the primary logo or used predominantly anytime soon anyway. There isn't a marketing firm in the world that would base their entire presentation for a NEW nickname around an old logo that has NOTHING to do with that new nickname.
  5. My how attitudes change. 4-5 years ago it was "I hope the university is ready to sell ZERO merchandise now that the Sioux logo is gone".
  6. From Rob Port: Speaking of research, Neset said Bresciani’s lack of “teamwork and collaboration” with UND on research initiatives was a third area of concern. “By working together we lift both institutions to a higher level. We are not in competition with one another. We are on the same team,” Neset said. “There have been instances cited where there was not a sense of unity and collaboration to the point where NDSU was not working with UND to elevate North Dakota.” When asked for specifics Neset said she would “defer to the research personnel at UND for that” but added that there “were instances cited by them” and “times that NDSU research department was not working in lockstep with UND on issues that should have been collaborative.” It's UND's fault.
  7. Trying to figure out McFeely's angle with constantly supporting Brescani. He has wrote several articles in the past month, all supporting him. The Forum got some angle on this deal?
  8. You are trying to disparage a powerful, worldwide institution like Notre Dame with a comment like that? (facepalm)
  9. As will I. Right now I walk around with my Fighting Hawks t-shirt on and feel like a leper.
  10. Let me grab the point and drag it back over to you. A school doesn't put out an entire new name/marketing campaign and then use the old logo secondary logo that became the defacto primary logo. If they keep it around fine, but they weren't going to use it as main logo.
  11. Yah. Nothing says UND Fighting Hawks like continuing to use Notre Dame's logo. Everyone knows it as theirs, regardless of what we think.
  12. To start it was Kelley who was the idiot who chose to make sure EVERYONE had a say in selecting the new name. Now its Schafer who was the idiot who dared to select the new logo himself based on all the input he had in front of him, instead of holding an all-inclusive, annoyingly long process. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Unreal.
  13. he got dismissed for unknown reasons. Which means they didn't want him around anymore. That should tell you all you need to know about it. Jones must have felt the program was better without him, on and off the court.
  14. I'm not too sure it was the University or his coaches telling him to think about what he did.
  15. Any athlete who actually supports the University through this sh*tty situation is a parrot.
  16. When did he say that and where? I have yet to hear anything about the future, only about the current culture and embracing the past history. But that's OK, they can be the only program not supporting the University through this extremely tough time, right?
  17. He re-tweeted a former UND player. Did you read his other tweet? "Here at UND embrace and respect the history that made us. Focus our energy building the new to make history too." Still waiting for Berry's supportive tweet....
  18. Because the won a national championship that means they can say and act however they choose? That's interesting. Leadership is what the real Bubba did today at the presser. The other one was silent and non-committal about supporting the name, as usual. He completely dodged the question about new logo on Michaels show today and went into some BS about character.
  19. Ya think Wentzy is reading SS? Kinda cool I guess.
  20. That's great for Lincoln, good coverage. Not real surprising there are reports by local media on it. Still doesn't change the point it was an extremely odd timing for PWO.
  21. You mean he didn't tell the Bison Media on air that he was pressured into taking the PWO? Can't believe it.
  22. Which has kind of been the point. Bad guidance or something. Kid is from a small town and probably doesn't have anyone telling him how it works. Based on tweet I saw sounds like NDSU wanted him to commit but wouldn't commit to him with a schollie. Guidance. You think this is ugly? Lmao. This is gorgeous compared to some threads and/or message boards.
