  1. Unless you stay at your original school to work on your degree and your school chooses or does not play at all that year....then apparently you do not get the 5th year. So I get it is one or the other, 5 years to play 4 years or 5 years to play 5 with a Covid season. To me it seems like it should be a redshirt year as it seems plenty of guys in football have used 6 years to play 5. Jandric Sidorski
  2. I didn't realize Moody had a kid until this year. I wanted to see him do well at UND but I had always assumed they parted ways because Moody either wasn't interested in or capable of guarding anyone.
  3. We beat Western Michigan 5-0 for 3rd in 2014 and then made the bar turn off NCAA basketball so we could watch Wisconsin come from down 4-2 with 7 minutes left to beat Ohio State. An Ohio State win would have eliminated us. The we went to Cincinnati and thanked Bucky for getting us in the tournament by sending them packing in the first round.....we won't talk about what happened 2 weeks later.
  4. Hang on Friday night against Quinnipiac(had 5-4 lead in third and ended up tying), hang on Friday night at Minnesota(Gophers score with extra attacker and win in OT), and the Arizona State game and Bemidji St. tie and we are #8....something about ifs and buts
  5. Yep. flip those Niagara games and they are sitting comfortably at #13 right now.
  6. The need merimack to lose and no upsets in conference tournaments
  7. If they had drawn Miami or San Diego State I would have picked them and maybe against St. Mary's as well.
  8. The potential field for the NCAA Tournament is quite a bit smaller after the weekend. 11 teams are in.-- Minnesota Quinnipiac Denver Michigan BU Harvard SCSU Penn State Ohio State Michigan Tech Western Michigan 1 Team will have conference auto bid...Atlantic Hockey Holy Cross or Canisius 2 teams are all but in. Would take an extraordinary set of circumstances to not get in. Cornell Minnesota State 2 Teams hanging on...have to hope their are no conference upsets. For Alaska it also means they need Merrimack to lose. Merrimack Alaska Teams still in contention. Teams with * would be stealing a spot from the teams at bottom of list above if they win their way in. B10 Michigan vs. Minnesota Hockey East Providence* vs. BU Mass-Lowell* vs. Merrimack ECAC Colgate* vs. Quinnipiac Cornell vs. Harvard NCHC Colorado College * vs. Denver UND* vs. SCSU CCHA Northern Michigan* vs. Minnesota State Potential for only the top 11 being in the Tournament.
  9. Should be either him or WMU coach for Coach fo the year in the conference.
  10. Leading into a WCHA weekend and Lou Nanne calls out Gopher fan whiners and Gorg in a radio interview with Barriero. He said In Hockey, physicality is a skill and it is one that the Sioux excel at and one the Gophers possess very little of.
  11. Not opposed but the guys they would be replacing should be pretty fresh as well as Ness, Portz, Kunz, Albrecht, Bast, and Farmer have not had an abundance of minutes the last couple nights.
  12. The best thing abut the past few weeks for UND has been that James has emerged as one of if not our most dynamic and consistent forward putting together effective positive shifts almost every time out.
  13. Ness has ended up out with Gaber and Blake for a few partial shifts and for whatever reason that has been a good combo.
  14. Doppler had rough game yesterday but had a nice game today. I thought he was their most consistent player most of the season. Erickson had a nice game yesterday but was not much of a factor today.
  15. I always like to point out to Gopher fans that Debus was a 25 year old goalie in 97-98 which was his 3rd season at Minnesota....did not come back as a 26 year old senior.

  17. RIT or whoever wins AHA most likely.
  18. We have a 1.5% chance of finishing in the top 13 and a 2.5% chance of finishing in the top 14 in the pairwise. I can get us to #15 after Saturday night with a sweep and RIT, UConn, Northeastern, Merrimack, and cornell all getting swept and Sparty losing to Minnesota.
  19. Go Spuds. My REA seat neighbors kid with a big goal!
  20. You said I flat out lied? You said they had several games where they drew 4-5k a game....there was 1 game where they drew over 4k in the history of the program. On average by season over the course of 13 seasons UND drew 864 fans per game(ranging from 309 per game in 06-07 to the high water mark of 1485 in 11-12). the cost of those tickets varied from free on up to I am sure $15-20/game.
  21. So there were not games with a few hundred in attendance? I know they had the Gopher games where they drew about 5800 in 2014 and 3300 in 2015 which were far and away the largest crowds ever for a UND women's hockey game so I don't think they had multiple games with 4-5k in attendance. Minnesota averaged 1815 fans per game in 2013-14, 2394 fans per game in 2014-15, and 2037 fans per game in 2015-16 which led the country.
  22. Unfortunately not enough people wanted to watch it. They had $1 tickets and drew a few hundred people. When there was a men's or women's basketball game on a Satuday afternoon and a women's hockey game Saturday night you could use your ticket stub to get in free and they drew a few hundred people. I believe UND has given the dollar amount needed to those who would like to see Women's Hockey return.
