Jack is a great play by play guy and was great on UND broadcasts......the problem came with Jack's radio show talking Bison this and Bison that for 4 out of 5 hours a week. Certainly not his fault as the show is on in Fargo and he is employed by the Bison broadcast partner......Jack is a pro at his job and was exceptional as our play by play guy but at the end of the day his heart is with NDSU.

Jack moonlighted for UND. He was employed by KFGO and with the uncertainty with Scott Miller's illness he couldn't commit to UND. I thought Jack did the best he could in a tough situation for all.

They already have the capability to broadcast at least 4 channels.

UND hockey used to have all home games televised nationwide. We also had several men's and women's basketball games and volleyball games as well as football that were on the Fox channels. If Midco could get a deal with Directv and Dish that would be a gamechanger but I don't see that happening. For NDSU it would be a tricky question. They have statewide coverage for football now and I believe they sell their own advertising and pay KVLY for the signal. Does Midco bring them more eyes?

Sad news. Had Dub on one side and Pete Stewart on the other. He exemplified UND hockey. He was a walk-on who turned into a pretty decent hockey player. He was a high energy, drain the tank every shift guy, a pest and agitator who was pretty nasty to play against and was also capable of scoring as well. He was one of the best penalty killers to play at UND in my opinion. Good guy off the ice, always laughing and looking for a prank to play on someone. Ran into him a few times over the years, usually at softball tournaments. Gone far too soon.

Which caliber of play is going to be higher? A. The sport with X number of players spread out over 125 teams B. The sport with X number of players spread out over 60-65 teams

To be clear. I am not the one calling it a JV title. I said I would be thrilled if we won an FCS title just as I was when we won a D2 title......but anyone comparing the quality of athlete in D1 hockey vs. FBS football is delusional.

It will be interesting to see if Nick plays Center? They only have 4 righties in the forward group which is why it is very surprising that Tuch, Garland, and Roslovic were all left off initial roster.

I would be ecstatic if UND was able to win the FCS championship in football......what I wouldn't do is try and equate it to an FBS football title or a D1 hockey title. At the end of the day, UND and NDSU are playing for 129th place in football and I am perfectly fine with that. Living in Fargo it seems that many of the fans in town fail to understand the distinction.

I am not sure how the Gophers can accept that game. There athletic department policy prohibits them from playing against teams with hostile and abusive nicknames unless it is a conference game.
