So, you have to be in the record books to stay in the lineup? Sitting Hain makes no sense, but ok.
-
Third in scoring and fourth in points for UND.
-
Ok.
-
You beat me to it.
-
Well said, all around.
-
Yeah, I'm still not sure Helly is the guy. I hope he gets there. DeRidder is still our best option, IMO. Perrson would be huge for us. But, that's for later
-
Agreed. Need a good recruit or two ASAP. Portal will be our likely choice next season. Maybe a tendy with more than one year left. Otherwise, we convince Zombo to leave their sophomore tendy in GF when they leave town I'm hoping and praying Perrson will finally leave Oxboro. He'd look lovely in green, white, and black!

This ^^^ We're a damn good team when we play with that urgency. Gotta have it. They know it, too. Just gotta do it!
-
I get what you're saying, man. However, we got the job done and what I said was nothing more than a fun shot at the immediate overreaction of the games as they went on. I see nothing wrong celebrating this weekend. It's another stepping stone as we move forward and an important one, too. We won two must haves. It's not a comment that this team is done with the work. Again, it was light-hearted shot at the overreaction of the board during the game.

Like I said in the post, there was no excuse for the flat start to Friday and to get down tonight. LU played with their hair on fire early both games. I'm choosing to love what they did for a massive majority of the weekend and know they need to start better moving forward.
-
I'd argue they were ready to play tonight. Still fell behind. I think "the culture" more presented itself in continuing to battle and win the game. My commentary was moreso just about the desire to criticize before a game is over. This weekend was frustrating, but overall, a pretty solid performance, IMO. Did I want them to win both games 7-0? Yes, but we won and earned those wins with pretty good play overall.

Hahahahaha. I've enjoyed the thread these two games. Meltdown for roughly 4 pages, then when UND came back, the biggest meltdowners... crickets. Morale of this weekend on siouxsports.com... wait until the game is over haha.
-
Hey, that's fair. All things considered though, goaltending is this team's weakness. Defense has limited the grossness over the past 5 or so games, IMO.
-
Must be reading siouxsports.com. He's trying to get on some poster's good sides
-
DeRidder has shown the ability to be a great tendy. Gotta bring it every time tho
-
Totally agree. If Zombo can recruit, they could get real good, real quick
-
My goodness. Team was persistent all weekend and battled. Controlled play. Can we just have a little credit? On what planet was this weekend like we got swept?? Lol
-
Who should Matteo be in for? The margins are so close.
-
Helly played just under 55 min and saw 8 shots, 2 from neutral ice, but made all the saves. I'd like to see DeRidder get back in there because I do believe he's the better option, but the hook has to be quick if he starts like he did last night. Any chance we see Cheese?
-
This one's easy... just play like we did for the last 50 or so minutes of last night and not the first 10 and we sweep. Get it done. UND sweeps 5-1 Judd, Gaber, James, Schmaltz, Moore
-
I would be pretty surprised to see those two sit. In fact, shocked. Almost certainly won't happen, nor should it.
-
Are you seriously suggesting punting on the season? In January? I'm sorry, but this is absolutely nuts and will not happen. It's definitely not a long shot to make the tourney. Absolutely not a lock by any means, but UND controls its destiny. James, Strinden, and Matteo should play. But at the expense of Judd? Sendo? Hain? No way.
-
Did the EXACT same thing to DU. Took UND a bit longer to get back, but same thing wins out ... talent. Not a shot, whatsoever. Just where their program is at today. Huge props to Lindenwood, though. Some big dudes on that team and a couple solid forwards. They could get real good, real quick.
-
How do you figure? That was a pretty dominant win outside of the first 5 min. No excuse to play that soft coming out, but we controlled that game. Lots of credit is due for battling and getting the W. Over the past handful of games, the dmen have limited their mistakes big time.
-
Both feel like they are very close to breaking out. James especially.
