What am I defending? "We didn't play well and neither did Luddy".... what a stupid "argument" this is.
-
Again, what did he sugar coat? Solid scoring chances? Like on the horrendous bounce that lead to a wide open breakaway on the SHG? Whatever. Long story short, d corps didn't play their best and Luddy didn't bail them out. Got the win. Let's stop going in circles lol.
-
There were definitely a couple bad bounces, but I don't disagree we didn't play our best defensive game.
-
Disagree. Luddy definitely wants a couple back from tonight, but he's been the guy all year. He also made a huge save late to help us win. He'll be fine.
-
Well, I don't think he was that far off. UND played well in that game, by in large, and a couple of bad bounces did lead to goals, two that Luddy would want back. Plus, what do you want Bubs to say? I'll never understand why anyone wants a coach to rip his players publicly. It accomplishes nothing. The team knows they shouldn't have needed OT for the win.
-
I see it as a balance thing. The third and fourth lines feel relatively similar. If you flip Strinden and Schmaltz, the gap would be wider, IMO. Kunz deserved his shot on line 1. Perron will be fine and will ultimately be an incredible Top 6 player, right now he's just not there yet. It happens.
-
LOL let's slow this down a little bit, eh?
-
I'll go 5-1. I think Miami may come out hard, but they are outgunned and they are missing even some of their best players. Play like the DU series and it's not close. Blake, Strinden, Pyke, OMac
-
Really? LOL no, you'll be fine .... what could go wrong?!? (Totally blaming him if we lose)
-
A low one, yes, yes it basically can
-
If we lose, your fault

Friday - Strinden Saturday - James
-
I was incredibly impressed by Monty's game all weekend.
-
Don't hold your breath, unfortunately.

After this weekend, the boys can see what's in front of them. Getting a sweep in Oxford is another step towards banner No. 1 on the season. Bubs will surely focus on preventing any lull in focus and the leadership on the team will make sure our boys bring it. Bury Miami and keep it rolling.

Saturday Gameday: Denver at the Ralph part 2

On the contrary, they feel like a 1.5 line team with 3 really great defensemen. We shut down their big boys this weekend and we all see what happened. Very good team, but our depth is better. Not really a shot at DU, but more of kudos to UND's staff constructing this year's squad. -

My goodness, the building was just so ready to explode and another pure snipe did the trick. So memorable. -

We had this in the beginning of the season a little bit, caught a funk, and the past two weekends we got back to it. I said it Friday and it held up on Saturday... elite, championship-level defense. Starts with the tremendous poise of guys like Pehrson, Weibe and Zmolek (Seriously, how good has this kid been? Absolutely dominant defensive player) nearly always making the patient, easy smart play in d zone. Also, the solidly consistently play in net by Persson. He did enough this weekend to help us get two massive wins. The past two weekends saw a huge difference in all four lines constantly getting back into plays on the backcheck. Blaker has basically done a 180 on this. Huge for them. All effort, all 120 minutes this weekend. Let's not forget how dynamic and game-breaking our offense is. My goodness, this power play. So many guys can make the big play and I think that is a big piece of what can be a big run. Think 2016... elite defense, top line studs, but scoring through the last forward group. This weekend was the formula personified. Cannot undersell what our D did against DU's top line. Unreal performance. Of course, check the boxes on the way out, but this weekend legitimized what this team can be. If the country had any doubt that UND can be there in St. Paul in April, holding the best offense in the country by far to under 3 goals for the first and second times all year proves who this team is. Any bumps along the way, just get back to this weekend's play. Play like this, and we're celebrating in a big way in April. -
Yep. Elite, championship level defense the entire game. Fantastic performance from our boys.

Spot on.

D@mn second ENG got me off my call hahaha.
-
It's pretty sweet when we score lol
-
Over 2, I'd be upset. 2 is fine as long as they don't score any further
-
Going a whole season without scoring under 3 goals is ridiculous. I'm saying it stops tonight! 4-2 UND win Gaber, OMac, Strinden, Jammer
-
I think he chose Blake because of what he's already done to Rizzo in a corner up in Magness. Anyone will work haha
