  1. Enlighten me, please.
  2. I did, but what are you saying? Definitely unfortunate that he looks to be out of here.
  3. I don't agree with this and his tweet actually is contrary to what you are saying. How can a tweet that says a recruit could potentially be leaving be seen as "building up the program" from the media? What would putting that tweet out do for the team? All it does is say that we are potentially losing a highly-touted recruit and the coaches would be asking for that to be sent? I don't get that. It doesn't take inside knowledge to do what Schloss did in that particular tweet. He merely stated that Donovan changed his Twitter.
  4. Go on?
  5. Are you suggesting Schloss is being told by the coaches what to say? So, you think the coaches are directing the media to make them look bad because a recruit is leaving? I don't understand that logic.
  6. If you don't know, why the conjecture? Speculation is silly.
  7. Like what... please elaborate.
  8. It's one season and 10 games. We've already had people jump off the bandwagon, back on and then now, back off again. Just let the year play out. Last year was a lack of top end talent when Jost left early. They had a bunch of freshies coming in that were not immediate scorers, but could absolutely get there in their times here (think Mash, Guch, Adams) and were clearly fine with Jost carrying the water. When he bolted, we had last year happen. This year... we've played 10 games and are at about 2.5 GPG, but 3.5 in wins. We have the ability to score and when we do, because we play good D and have good tending, we win. There's no real "solve" to this. These are our players. We have to play with pace and energy to win. That is the team that got us a 5-game winning steak. We haven't changed our systems much in years. It's a lack of pure scorers, at this time. By the end of the season, hopefully we can get someone from the Soph or Freshman class to step up.
  9. And for the majority of the season, actually, we've played with energy and pace, IMO.
  10. What?! No basketball, soccer, golf (not sure whatever we have left) love .... #HockeyFootballOnly #outrage
  11. Seems like he's flying up draft boards and that's always a good thing. Hopefully it continues.
  12. I like the looks of the forward groups coming in in the next couple of years. Thinking Halliday is our next big thing.
  13. Ok, so are you just venting? We know this. I guess I'm a solutions guys and all I see at this point is just play with energy and pace. We've been successful playing this way. Last week, for whatever reason, that didn't happen.
  14. Other than JJ, they're one year and 10 games for the Sophs and 10 games into their UND career... just because they aren't scoring consistently today doesn't mean they won't score.
  15. And? I agree, but what's your point? It sucks... I agree. Is that your point? Lol it's pretty easy to say that a team who is scoring 2.5 GPG needs to score more goals.
  16. It's really simple, IMO. We've missed on one class, as far as I'm concerned and one of that class is in the NHL. Sophs aren't scoring yet consistently, but can absolutely get there based on what I've seen. Same for the freshmen. I think the expectation for instant scoring from each freshman class is unrealistic regardless of who we are.
  17. Hahahaha well... looking back at the thread, this changes things. But, I do get your overall point -- We need scorers.
  18. He was literally asking for that line. I also did say that we need more scoring.
  19. The NHL. How many of those come along? Let's be realistic. I get it... we need more scoring. But how often do those type of lines come along? Once every 10 years? CBS, DOT and Money Line?
  20. I think he could be making the point that the PWR is more irrelevant than the polls at this time of year.
  21. You being sarcastic not knowing what a greasy goal is?
  22. I felt the same kind of way earlier this week, but then I think more about the team. They are grinders that rely on effort and that hasn't really slowed much even in their losses since the BSU series. Coupling that with bad goaltending on WMU, I think that effort can lead to some greasy goals.
  23. To start, yes. He'll have to earn one after, I suppose.
