It's funny because we scored both goals 5x5 and they had a 5 min major
-
With me? Are you saying you disagree with me that you are calm? haha.
-
Unless flavored with lime, right Goonie?
-
Lol but I never said you said he did a bad job haha. Someone else may have, but I didn't. I just don't think he's in any way, shape, or form a media arm of the program. That's completely ok if you have a different opinion.
-
Haha love the hashtag. We're all D-1 level college coaches, clearly
-
Lol I think we're calm, we (Goonie and I) just disagree with you, which is completely fine. I feel like there just hasn't been much to criticize in his tenure. They've been incredibly successful. He's certainly called out when a team performs poorly. Also, Brad doesn't do a lot of editorial/opinion pieces directly on the team.
-
But, we've already established that we have players that lit it up in juniors.... so, who do we blame? I can't keep up.
-
So, it's coaching that makes players miss open nets? Cmon.

Not intending to be anything but settled down haha. I just don't think Schlossy is working as an information arm for UND hockey in any way.
-
I disagree, but that's alright.
-
Schlossy is pretty darn locked in on recruits. Just because he doesn't tweet about it, doesn't mean he doesn't know. My guess... until a player commits, he's uncommitted (and sometimes past that, too as we now see with Donvovan) and with no benefit for him to share to Twitter what he knows, he keeps it quiet. If something changes and it's wrong, that makes him look bad. He's the most plugged in college hockey writer in the country.
-
Enlighten me, please.
-
I did, but what are you saying? Definitely unfortunate that he looks to be out of here.
-
I don't agree with this and his tweet actually is contrary to what you are saying. How can a tweet that says a recruit could potentially be leaving be seen as "building up the program" from the media? What would putting that tweet out do for the team? All it does is say that we are potentially losing a highly-touted recruit and the coaches would be asking for that to be sent? I don't get that. It doesn't take inside knowledge to do what Schloss did in that particular tweet. He merely stated that Donovan changed his Twitter.
-
Are you suggesting Schloss is being told by the coaches what to say? So, you think the coaches are directing the media to make them look bad because a recruit is leaving? I don't understand that logic.
-
If you don't know, why the conjecture? Speculation is silly.

Like what... please elaborate.

University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season
stoneySIOUX replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
It's one season and 10 games. We've already had people jump off the bandwagon, back on and then now, back off again. Just let the year play out. Last year was a lack of top end talent when Jost left early. They had a bunch of freshies coming in that were not immediate scorers, but could absolutely get there in their times here (think Mash, Guch, Adams) and were clearly fine with Jost carrying the water. When he bolted, we had last year happen. This year... we've played 10 games and are at about 2.5 GPG, but 3.5 in wins. We have the ability to score and when we do, because we play good D and have good tending, we win. There's no real "solve" to this. These are our players. We have to play with pace and energy to win. That is the team that got us a 5-game winning steak. We haven't changed our systems much in years. It's a lack of pure scorers, at this time. By the end of the season, hopefully we can get someone from the Soph or Freshman class to step up. -

And for the majority of the season, actually, we've played with energy and pace, IMO. -

Seems like he's flying up draft boards and that's always a good thing. Hopefully it continues.
