Just going to regurgitate many of my random thoughts from this weekend: Positives: Hoff stands out as physically mature and plays a heavy game, Colton Poolman and Cole Smith are looking better with each game. Wolanin might be our best dman right now, Shaw looks miles better than last year, Tucker is a monster and will provide offense this year. The young guys also are looking better with each game but have some growing pains as expected. Also, Ausmus had IMO his best game of the year Saturday vs Denver and bailed Tucker out on a bad turnover. Also, had that nice big check on the DU partial breakaway. Negatives: 2 breakaways given up in a matter of maybe 30 seconds on Friday but Cam stoned both of them, Ausmus doesn't look quite as comfortable without Stecher(but who would?), the freshmen D making rookie mistakes on pinching resulting in odd man rushes, PK and PP need to start figuring things out, maybe take Boeser and/or Jost off the PK to save energy and find a couple guys willing to lay their bodies on the line. All in all though, we only gave up 4 goals to the #2 team in the country and should very well have had a split if not for an atrocious interference called at the end of Friday's game that led to Denver tying the game.

Just stopped in to say I went to 2 games this year... South Dakota and NAU. Sitting there in the 3rd quarter on Saturday down 31-10 I was just thinking "There's no way Bubba can pull this off again, right?" This team is never out of a game and pulled off a fantastic finish to this season! Congrats Bubba and the team! Now I'm getting greedy and want to take down the Bison in the playoffs

Good lord, this isn't a football hockey pissing match, stop contributing to it. Football is doing great, hockey just hung a national championship and had 9 guys leave including regular NHLers and is experiencing adversity. No need to try to put down either team.

It seems like they're starting to figure things out and make the proper adjustments (judging by Saturday's game against Minnesota) which is encouraging. Now if we can just start finding the back of the net!

I have a good feeling about this series. We've gotten stronger in each game we've played on the road. Our team is young but our young guys are getting better and more responsible with each game. I'd like to see a repeat of last year's home series against Denver. I think it'll be closer but still think we take 6 points.

I agree with most of what you say, I just think Cam doesn't get his due for what he provided the team last year. I think at this point we're splitting hairs. However, yes I do think he could use some competition and take a game off. The issue with that is it doesn't seem like the coaches are eager to play Hrynkiw or Tomek for some reason.

I was also wondering that. Giving them that PP was a huge difference the way that game was played. I'll have to go back tonight and watch the replay to see if I can spot it.
