  1. I’m still a little sour he or Adam’s wasn’t offered a 5th year(or so I was told). Hopefully Zmolek is healthy to play against his old team this wkd
  2. Anyone have the replay of the move(s)Blake made at the end of the game along the goal line? Walked 3 Gophers and damn near had the goal of the year. He’s gonna have some highlighters this year
  3. The difference between last years series and this is I didn’t see the panic in the d zone with this team. So many times last season a defender would get pressured and throw the pass to the point for the opponents defender or worse up the middle. There’s a lot more taking time to find an outlet pass this year. Also, my buddy made the point that zmolek was the only guy consistently getting pucks through traffic, he’s gonna be fun to watch I think. Keep in mind he didn’t play all last season so he’s still finding his legs.
  4. If FS4L is calling you out on overreacting, you need to chill. No offense FS4L. That game sucked, it looked a team that just got almost a completely new team playing as 5 individual people vs a team that was in the national title game last season playing as a unit. What will define this team is what they learn from games like that and how fast they can learn it.
  5. Go look at Ticketmaster and see if they're just another non-conference opponent
  6. Hunter Johannes, it's tough not to really like this guy watching him play and listening to him speak. Feels like he should have been at North Dakota the whole time, props to Coach Berry for bringing him home.
  7. As JPL said about opponents hitting the pipe “that’s all I gave em”
  8. Is it bad that I really like them? NOTE: I am colorblind FWIW
  9. Schloss made a good point that Army doesn't benefit from the transfers the same as a lot of other schools. They're stuck in the old model of recruiting and developing while the rest of college hockey plays free agency.
  10. Yeah I feel that. I was in college at Colorado at a friend's apartment listening to the radio and if my memory serves Zach Jones scored his only goal of his college career. Feels like it could be yesterday. Yikes though, glad you're here to post about how old you are. I did the same thing in 2011 and have hated driving on icy roads since.
  11. Including exhibition games with other weak opponents it was our most lopsided win as a program since we played Yale 20 years ago. Just the eye test for our forwards checked out. If I’m being honest I thought Perron outshined 2 forwards that I pegged as Hobey candidates in Gaber and Blake. Granted they may not have been full 110% like he was, which makes it even more exciting. And this was his first ever college hockey game. Everyone commented on the 3rd goal which was impressive but the shiftiness and velocity on his 2nd goal shocked me. If he’s able to continue to do these things when we get to wisco, minny and BU we’ll know we have something special. All this to say, yes we’ll probably have duds and learning experiences. Every season, even the great ones, have had them. But I haven’t been that amped up after watching an exhibition game since I started watching UND hockey.
  12. I'm calling a goal in the first minute of the game, heard it here first
  13. Army got beat 6-0 and outshot 46-19 by Union(ECAC Preseason #7 per GF Herald). They're a good game to start the season with as I highly doubt any of our players will be taking their first game in The Ralph lightly no matter the opponent.
  14. Same here, UND should’ve included it in the highlight video
  15. Yup, as far as exhibitions that was different. I predict Perron will approach Boesers’ 60 points as a freshie
  16. You have to start somewhere but I agree. I also think Berry will try to get them on the schedule in the future.
  17. I thought I head the correct pronunciation as "Pair-shown" with a little Swedish twang on it.
  18. Pretty cool that we'll have a battle of the Dakotas in hockey
  19. Agreed, Johannes dangled Ness out of his jock strap at one point. Although he also got caught trying and turned the puck over a few times. Blake looked like he took a step, Perron didn’t look like a freshie. McLauglin, Pyke, Gaber, Pehrson, Berg, and Wiebe all stood out to me in a good way. I could be missing some but that’s off the top of my head.
  20. Looking at this list makes you realize you just have no idea on recruting until, or if, they get to campus. Only 4 of those 9 guys made a real impact at UND. Only 5 made it to campus.
