  1. Completely agree. He was at the point of his development that he could take games over single handedly and no one could skate with him. Very few players at UND have had that ability. And the fact that he was injured diving across the crease to save a goal that clinched a 1st round win and got his hand sliced open makes me like him even more. We were robbed as fans not getting to watch him in the playoffs.
  2. I say it every year. Give me a consistent .910 goalie and we’ll be in the tourney and win at least a game most likely, .920+ and we’re a frozen four team playing for a title. This team is good enough offensively to make a run with a .910 goalie.
  3. Oh me too. I’m not saying don’t get pissed about losses(hell knows I do) but to continually come on this board and only point out negatives makes me question some people’s end goal. Some perspective I feel would help some people enjoy the ride more instead of losing their heads every time a bad game comes around
  4. Tough to see some people on here tying their daily personal fulfillment to the success of a college hockey program they have no influence over. If you guys were fans of UNO or SCSU you probably would have jumped off the ledge by now. It's apparent the way some "fans" pop up out of the woodwork only when things are going bad to recount all the way this program has personally wronged them. Find some balance guys.
  5. To the people saying that the tape is out on UND. Are you sure the teams UND will be playing down the stretch have the type of players(See Mberko) or dedication to this style of play? I don't see BU or Michigan dropping into a 1-4 trap no matter how successful it was in a couple series. CC was impressively efficient at it and they seem to have the full team buy in that it's what they will be doing exclusively. Pair that with a ridiculously good goalie and you have a scary team to play in the postseason. I'm telling myself this is just a bad matchup for UND, hopefully this coming weekend proves that out.
  6. Kind of crazy to think there's only 5 teams left to be decided to make the NCAAs
  7. Yup, Colorado Springs is above 6,000 feet whereas Denver is a measley 5,200 or so. I think my RA saw I was from North Dakota and purposively put me on the 1st floor so I didn't pass out moving into my dorm.
  8. Agreed, that'd be a way to get Fargo people driving to GF to fly. Seattle would be nice in order to access the PNW more directly.
  9. I was referring to flying direct from Fargo to Chicago where as out of GFK you have to connect in MSP.
  10. But if you use the handy dandy true cost calculator on GFK's website it... still costs way less to drive to Fargo. Not to mention the risk of a missed or delayed connecting flight ruining your vacation
  11. Assuming UNO doesn’t make the tourney, then they’d get shipped elsewhere
  12. Fair to say if UND stays as the #1 or #2 overall with BC being 1 and Omaha doesn’t make the tourney, they’ll be in Sioux Falls?
  13. I don’t see Omaha making the tourney, they’re known for losing the games they need to win at this point in the season
  14. That last weekend of DU having to play an intra-squad scrimmage should be electric
  15. Are you saying Perrson should’ve been pulled after it was 2-1?
  16. Possible to guarantee ourselves a tie for 6th without going to OT both nights?
  17. Let’s just play all the NCAA games in Australia so we truly have neutral sites with no fans there to upset the pure neutrality of the competition. Doesn’t that sound exciting?
  18. Yes, get Johannes healthy for the stretch run. It's a good time to play Miami then have a bye weekend. That's 3 full weeks and if he's not healthy for Colorado Springs give him a whole month to recover.
  19. Attack Blake's wing, move it over to OMac's wing. Playing aggressive on that wing too? Pass it down low for a 2 v 1.
  20. Sometimes when defenseman score a large % of the goals it tends to indicate a lack of scoring punch up front. For example, the year wolanin led the team in scoring.
  21. No kidding, I don't recall a team that is this scary good on the powerplay. As of late, it feels like a foregone conclusion the puck is finding the top corner of the opposition's net.
  22. Absolutely, Power Play and on a line with some guys that are good at creating space for him and he thrives.
