  1. You can do it at the college level... at the national stage playing against the best U20 defenders in the world, not so much. Especially if the USA ran everything through him allowing the opposition to key in on just shutting him down. If UND runs into BU in the NCAAs, I'd suggest we do the same. Almost like double teaming a huge WR in football.
  2. Replay of highlights from Badgers getting stomped by BU 6-1 on Saturday Night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hvK8e7FZrA#t=315 Wow, can Eichel take over a game. It's not even fair.
  3. My point was that he will not sit because he is our best option. I definitely think he has a higher ceiling too, just need to get it going. He's shown flashes for sure, just need to work on the consistency part now.
  4. Actually you can lie with numbers, it's quite easy. By using only the numbers that are in line with your opinion, it backs up your opinion. Funny you didn't mention LJ is tied for 6th on the team in goals, points, and PPG. Why didn't you refer to those numbers? Yes, they are mitigated somewhat by the numbers you present but IMO Murphy or Sanderson haven't brought even that much to the table when given a shot(0 points combined, +/- of -1 & 0 respectively). I do see Simonson eventually being a good player here so if you're going to give one person a shot this weekend, I'd think it would have to be him.
  5. I like your take.
  6. No, he doesn't. He's a threat to create offense and has 4G and 6A so far this year, not too shabby. Who would you recommend playing for LJ? Sanderson or Murphy? because neither of them can find the back of the net. I think part of the issue with Luke is that his skating is not quite where it needs to be. This causes him to struggle to create separation on offense and take stick penalties on defense... but when he does, my god what a shot.
  7. So you think UND played down to the level of Minnesota in the Frozen Four last year because they underestimated them and that's why they lost?... seriously?
  8. I truly believe Wilcox bailed them out a lot last year. He's come back down to earth this year so far. That, combined with unispired play has them sitting where they currently are. Even if they are out of the top 15 come year end, I'd still think they'd have a good shot to win the Big 10 championship. What's the toughest team they'd play? Michigan? Penn State?
  9. I'd prefer playing them right now vs. a Miami, UNO, or UMD but you're right, if they squeak into the tourney as a #4 seed they could be a tough out similar to UND last year.
  10. Yeah but a soft schedule means one win probably doesn't move them very far up the PWR and a loss could be devastating. I don't think it would be out of the question if Wisco takes a game from them next weekend which would drop them significantly. So while they have a soft schedule, they can't afford a loss or two to those teams.
  11. Friday- Mac Saturday- Drake
  12. Saturday- "The Bulldogs are so great, let's talk about their awesome game and how much they kicked UND's ass." Sunday- "North Dakota is cheap, let's talk about anything besides the hockey game."
  13. Yup, 4 or the worst 7 teams in the country on their schedule, just bad luck though.
  14. Ah yes, the phantom hook. I loved that The Ralph showed the replay and you could see the stick was nowhere near his body. It was a terrible dive but if that's how he plays.
  15. It's all coming together now. I definitely fed the troll last night. That's my bad so I will sit in da box for 2 minutes and feel shame.
  16. Noticed Poolman got thrown upfront at the end of the game to try to spark something. May be there for tonights game. I couldn't believe MM passed up that shot in the 1st period, had coos-coos down and out.
  17. Explain "the game" to me so I can understand then. So Minnesota St, Harvard, Bowling Green are all great right? What about North Dakota? They're 8th in pairwise, where is your "great" line drawn in the pairwise at the beginning of January?
  18. So because UMD won one game our team should give up? I'll call Hak up and let him know a jackass on a rival message board said so. Should I be upset we produce NHL players? And be upset Parise played for us? What is your point?
  19. Doesnt mean much yet, enjoy your Bracketology this week.
  20. 'Great' is not decided in January, it's decided in April. Try not to get ahead of yourself bud.
  21. People coming out of the woodwork tonight to bash us after a loss. Calm down, lest we forget the loss to UBC last year? FYI we are 8 in pairwise right now so the season is not lost after one loss to a quality team.
  22. ... not to mention a prominent football program and a TV network to boot!
