  1. GO DOGS! I have to say that while I am still a die-hard Sioux fan the Dogs have played their way into my heart this year. Now that the Sioux are out I am really hoping that the Dogs can go all the way! Destroy those dirty Gophers!
  2. I heard this quote last year after the MN Wild beat the Colorado Avs in the NHL playoffs and I think it is fitting here. "The better team lost, but the team that deserved it won." I'm not saying the Sioux did not deserve to win, but obviously it wasn't our night. Hopefully we'll have nough guys staying and some good freshman coming in. I look forward to seeing the Sioux go all the way next year. Tough luck for Jordan Parise tonight, I have made it clear on more than one occasion that I prefer Brandt, but I can't blame JPar this time. JPar played really well and Denver got one in, tough break for our seniors.

Go Dogs! All the way! I will never cheer for the dirty Gophers!
  4. First, yes the goals scored were on the ice, not up high. Second, Brandt went down earlier than usual against MN earlier this year and that worked out well. Stick with Brandt, he got us the points to be WCHA champs and floundered behind sloppy defense to lose the Broadmoor, he will not flounder again. Give him the chance to take us all the way. I would like to see him go the distance, starting on Friday so he can maybe get into a rhythm, but seeing JPar to keep him fresh wouldn't surprise me either. I would agree that no matter who starts, if we lose, that goalie will get blamed, but that is one of the downsides to being the goalie.
  5. Should be Brandt all the way, but I would not be suprised to see JPar once against Holy Cross.
  6. Unfortunetly they are all $400 + Too much for this student.
  7. Last year there was a lot of jabbing by everyone back-and-forth, but it was all in good fun and when the game was over we congratulated the fans of the winning team.
  8. Vanek is a cherry picker...not talented. The comment about having "...a defensemen [sic] better than all of yours..." is quite frankly laughable. True he was drafted number 5 overall, maybe he has talent, but that doesn't mean he's not a cherry-picking hack.
  9. Ah, where did you hear this? I guess I didn't realize that the seeding was decided this soon.
  10. I have to agree with TH that by coming to UND instead of U of M Zach has missed out on getting awards...although awards are not everything, playing a a national title team means more.
  11. So much for Briggs being "average" Our D needs to show up for the next games if we are going to win a national title this year, Zach can't carry the entire team.
  12. Huge mistakes by the D and a softie by Brandt late in the game cost us the game. That's okay, it was good practice for playing the tougher teams for a National title.
  13. C'mon let's do it here guys, we need this!
  14. Another bad penalty by Greene, pull it together guys!
  15. Brandt standing on his head tonight and not getting a lot of help.
  16. Has anyone seen our defense tonight? Did they get lost on the way to the game? Flat tire? We're better than this, c'mon Sioux let's step it up!
  17. Another bad pass results in a goal for the Gophers, looks like cherry picking pays off for Vanek.
  18. On a side note: two former NCAA rivals Karl Goehring and Ryan Miller are battling it out tonight. Karl (24 saves 25 shots) Ryan (25 saves 28 shots)
