There have been a few UND teams in the last 25 years with bad starts that have turned it around after the Xmas break... I'm not saying this team will do that but they certainly have the talent to be a playoff team. If you think UND will be ranked higher than say #52 in the nation I would certainly take that bet.

THIS. I liked Berry and was one of his supporters up until a couple of years ago... Obviously he has lost communications and probably trust with his team.

It feels like this team is playing the "work smarter, not harder" brand of hockey... The only problem is they are not talented enough to pull it off. There is going to be a huge change in attitude over the Xmas break for these players or they will have no chance to be a top 12-13 team.

I would love Karl get the next head coaching gig here. He is a program guy first and extremely hockey smart. Bring in a new, younger look and maybe some new recruitment strategies.

I'm fine with this team not being the most talented or seasoned squad in our conference but I do have an issue with their lack of heart... There doesn't seem to be any hustle in this year's team. Defense can be extremely lazy at times.

Boy, if you have that open of a shot you need to take it... Mankato's D is pretty tight.
